TUNA TALK (canned)

Alright guys so for the last 2 weeks work has been crazy so I've had no choice but to resort to canned tuna
So this means around 150 grams of protein are coming from that canned tuna
The other 100 grams from milk, chicken, protein pasta, etc
But that's the equivalent to 7-8 cans of tuna a day
Now my question is would there be any risk eating this much canned tuna? I've done my research and I hear talks of mercury poisoning being a thing from canned tuna.
What do you guys think?

I actually had to do some searching on this as I eat tons of tuna also. I love tuna and it's really easy to travel with it and keep cans in my desk at the office.

What I researched was that "farmed" tuna has a low mercury count. Don't really have to worry about it. Most canned tuna is farmed tuna.

Now you have to worry about tuna that is fished from the wild. They accumulate mercury while out in the wild.

So canned tuna is safe to eat lots of. Fresh sushi tuna and other "fine" tunas you will need to track and limit.

Damn, I eat tons of Starkist tuna so you got me worried and had to do some more research just now. This is what I found:

Is there Mercury in Canned Tuna?

Canned tuna is safe and canned light meat tuna is listed on the EPA/FDA advisory as one of the fish that has very low levels of methylmercury. The trace levels of methylmercury found in canned tuna are far below the 1.0 parts per million (ppm) standard the FDA has set as safe. FDA testing has shown that canned light meat tuna has an average of 0.1 parts per million (ppm) and that Albacore (white meat) tuna has an average of 0.35 ppm. StarKist has appropriate testing procedures in place to ensure that both our light meat canned and white meat canned tuna are well below the FDA limit of 1 ppm.

For more information, go to the FDA's website at www.fda.gov or call the FDA Center for Food Safety Information Line at 1-888-SAFEFOOD.

So it appears canned tuna generally is safe all together, even if wild-caught.

It's really just the fancy sushi tuna you need to limit.

It works out to be only 12 oz a week of you wanted to be worried about it
Thats 2 cans a week to stay "safe"
Idk too many meatheads that only eat 2 cans a week
But we are OK with injecting non FDA approved substances such as trenbolone, choking down hazardous amounts of oral steroids, buying anabolic hormones from strangers on the internet and taking risks with our health many ppl would not take
But tuna?
Nah mercury poisoning bro:cool:

I've actually researched this before cuz I eat a shit load of tuna myself. From what all I read....All it does is raise the mercury in your body an once your body gets so much of it in it, you jus level off an it doesn't rise any higher. Man I've consumed more tuna than most an I'll be damned......Skull's still here lol.

Hey, my second favorite all natural bodybuilder The great Kali muscle got jacked off tuna and top ramen, and there is nothing wrong with him!

I mean....besides the retardation...but thats not from the tuna, thats from being a crack baby :D:D

Ya know...humanitarian is kind of a weird word because...well...a vegetarian is someone who only eats plant based foods right? So with that in mind would it not stand to reason that a humanitarian is one who only eats human based foods?:eek::eek::eek:
