If you are tolerating .25 well, I'd increase frequency. EOD and see how you feel and get labs again in 4-6 weeks.

Im torn between that and doing .5mg EOD. I guess keeeping dose same and increasing freq. is the safer route

Safer is better.

I think it would make more sense to try .25 daily to reach more stable levels vs .5 every other day.
