I use this one...Newborn Professional Steel Drip Free Caulking Gun - Ace Hardware
It probably wont make it faster but the lock on the pushrod holds better on this style compared to a dirt cheep gun. tough to explain but with a decent gun you can use intermittent pressure vs. constant pressure. If you use the kung-foo grip on any gun trying to go fast you will blow up the filter.

I do not brew but I do make a ton of jerky, some of yall may have seen the Milwaukee caulking gun i use to push wild hog into jerky.

Without a doubt this completely changed my opinion on syringe filtering. The stupid one I had from home depot made it miserable
If you homebrew with syringe filters and have every thought...
"God damn it why can I only fit the syringe in here with 40ml? I made 50ml!"
