Ultra Sensitive Vs Normal E2

Someone who got a 62.9pg would have probably considered low dose AI or titrating his EQ dose if he convinced himself he’s getting moon face or just wants to dial it further down like reducing his Test maybe.

Thanks for the reference. Glad to see some comparisons

Well I do have labs with 680mg tren ace, 720mg test and got 49/50pg also using normal E2 in my home country. So even outside the USA. Maybe European countries using a different kit/test to test for E2.

The reason Sensitive E2 is mainly preached is because:

Most labs use a standard estradiol (E2) immunoassay that’s actually designed for women, not men. Women’s natural E2 levels range anywhere from 30pg to 400pg

Because the test is built for those high levels, it’s not accurate in the lower male range, which is typically 10 to 40 pg/mL. At those low numbers, the standard E2 test misreads easily, giving false highs and false lows, so guys end up chasing fake numbers and crashing their estrogen with unnecessary AI use

Just got my e2 results back. Was surprised they liked up so well.

My theory is this:
When E2 is elevated enough, the normal e2 can measure more accurately, as it’s supposed to measure higher e2 level.

So when E2 is clearly high, both tests should match closely, because the true value is so high that the small measurement errors no longer make a noticeable difference. Like it does in the very lower ranges

Yeah that makes good sense to me.

It is well known that tren can cause high reading on a standard E2 test. From false positives. When just running T and most anabolics the standard E2 test will work well i find. The difference in my experience will be in the low single digit range for me. As per most laboratories the sensitive E2 test is best when E2 levels are low and one wants to get a very accurate reading

Unless you’re doing the sensitive and non-sensitive tests simultaneously, without tren, the comparison doesn’t mean much.

I’ve had my e2 all over the place on the same drugs, taken the same time before the blood test.

Same with my total testosterone, too. Despite doing testosterone enanthate subq daily, my total testosterone can differ as much as 30% between tests.

The non sensitive also struggles to differentiate from true estradiol and its other metabolites, that’s why it’s less accurate at low amounts as you suggest.
There is e1 e2 estrone and potentially others that it picks up.

Derek MPMD talks about this, and agrees that ultra sensitive for e2 testing is always preferred if available to you.

Really appreciate you sharing your results though, I don’t have sensitive testing, so the more comparisons I can see gives me a better idea of how to approach my e2 levels

Also in the lower ranges it can be worse, someone might have an E2 of 25 and what if their true E2 is lower. Possibly crashed.
I had a regular estrogen test<30 , when I did an E2 test it came back 13 so there's definitely a variance in some people 30 and 13 is a big difference when it comes to E2 let me tell you

I've been struggling with my E2 being high then too low with TRT doses for better part of two years and I recently switched from doing two injections Test c per week to every other day injections and my E2 is now in check for the first time on just TRT doses, because of the every other day injections i'm certain
