underwhelmed with EQ?

Guys, I’ve been running test tren cycles for a long time now, usually around 250 mg test / 200 mg tren, but I finally decided to take a long break from tren, possibly permanent, for health reasons.

I wanted to run something “safer” alongside my replacement dose of 250 mg test, so I settled on 600 mg EQ. I’ve read a lot of mixed opinions on EQ some people say it takes forever to kick in, others say they get better results running a higher test to EQ ratio.

Honestly, I’ve been pretty underwhelmed so far and I’m coming up on week 8. Diet and training aren’t the issue. I track macros, eat the same foods daily (jasmine rice, bananas, gold potatoes, lean ground beef, chicken breast), and train Yates style every other day.

This is my first time running EQ, so I’m trying to figure out if:

  • I’m just being impatient
  • My test is too low
  • EQ really does take this long to shine
  • Or if my expectations are just off

I can’t help but feel like I’d get similar or better gains from something like 500 mg test with 50 mg var ED.

I’m debating bumping test up to 400–500 mg and seeing how things respond, but before I do that I’d appreciate input from people who’ve actually run EQ and understand how it behaves long term.

And yes I used ChatGPT to clean up the text/grammar haha

You seem like you know what you are doing, so I won’t insult your intelligence but most of the things I’ve read and my own experience is that testosterone needs to be run higher than EQ, for me it was around 2 to 1 or i’d crash my estrogen. I know he’s not real liked around here but Todd Lee says you need some estrogen to grow. Have you gotten a sensitive e2 test yet? Are you experiencing any symptoms of crashed estrogen?

Thanks for the response

The reason I ran test so low is because I usually aromatize very heavily, I need some AI even just running 250-300mg test a week so I thought EQ would even it out since I havent been running AI this cycle but it seems like maybe it lowered E2 too much

From what I read most people ran it at least 1:1 but 2:1 is new to me, what are your dosages usually? 600mg test/300eq?

What are your gains and experiences?

I am very curious because I really would like to make EQ my permanent blast compound but i need to learn how to run it optimally before I write it off

I have crashed my estrogen before and I felt like absolute shit, I dont think i have crashed it completely this time but I have noticed lower sex drive and a "mud blood" like feeling where my blood just felt very thick

No I havent tested yet but I will around week 10-12

If you're on week 8 why don't you get an ultra sensitive e2 test to see if the eq has affected your e2 levels. A lot of people can only run half the eq to test bc e2 drops too low. but strangely it doesn't happen to everyone

Yes,6:3 is as high as I got. I never really attributed growth to DHT derivatives. In my experience DHT’s were just adding an anabolic that let me run my test higher without using an AI. If you are comparing EQ to your Tren gains, you’re going to be disappointed. Nothing makes you grow like tren.

Straight up, the first thing I’d look at is your e2. With 250 test and 600 EQ there’s a very high chance it’s crushed. Even at a 1:1 ratio EQ tanks my e2, and your ratio is way more aggressive than that. How do you actually feel day to day? Mood, libido, joints, motivation?

EQ also just isn’t a compound you really “feel” the way you do tren. By week 8, what you usually get is slightly better cardio, more vascularity, and a drier, denser look. No wow effect. If you’re expecting a tren like response, EQ will always feel underwhelming.

Personally, if I were set on running EQ, I’d flip the ratio. Something like 400-500 test with 400-500 EQ makes a lot more sense. Your current setup is basically asking EQ to dominate your hormones.

Also keep an eye on hematocrit. EQ sent mine to 56% at 500 mg and that alone made me drop it. Blood pressure felt weird even when readings were normal.

Long story short: check e2, consider lowering EQ or raising test, and manage expectations. EQ is more of a slow, subtle background compound, not a star of the show.

I would suggest starting lower than that considering its your first time using the compound… EQ usually shines around the 9-10 week mark for me personally. I’ve had people say their E2 got tanked on it running as low as 300 while having double that test dose. Try upping the test to around the 400-600 mark and check your e2 levels. If you feel demotivated or underwhelmed with the cycle add an oral anadrol/tbol

You should probably keep your test higher.

But yes, its a milder feeling compound.

Even if you aromatize heavily, depending on your ratio, you may not need an AI if you boost your test up

It kept crashing my estrogen, so in me, it seemed to have a very heavy impact on e2

I absolutely love EQ because for me it seems to have zero side effects. I have never crushed my e2 but I have also been very careful with doseages from day 1. I have found that when I'm running 300-500 test I feel my best at a 2:1 ratio but if I go above 500 test that sweet spot settles closer to 1:1. I have never felt bad or been unable to make steady, lasting gains with this formula but again this is what works for me and everyone is different. I'm the kind of guy that studies something for months before pulling the trigger and based on my research I've never even considered running it at 1:2 because tanking my estrogen levels sounds like a nightmare. As far as blood work it's never raised my hematocrit above 47 even after 20 weeks at 5-600mg. I don't have my e2 tested regularly that part is strictly based on feels and expectations but the times I did have it tested while on EQ cycle it's never been super low. Again that's just my experience. Good luck hopefully you'll figure out your formula because it really is a great compound.

Your expectations are too high for EQ. Its a "filler" anabolic, since in a lot of people it has minimal sides (except for crashing your E2). I used to run 250mg test & 600mg EQ as my cruise You would most definitely get more gains from 500mg test 50mg var. There really isn't a great injectable (besides nandrolone) that is gonna match the muscle building you get from test and is less toxic.

I was hoping I was gonna be one of those people who could run a lower ratio of EQ as the test got higher. Didn't work out. 800 test:400 eq crushed my e2 to 12.
