Update on adding Hcg.

Just got back from the Dr.'s and my levels went down. Here I am thinking we need to low the shots or the Hcg.
For those that have not kept up with my new treatment.
I am doing 150 mgs. of Depo T. shots every week and 500 IU's of Hcg 3 times a week MWF.

Well the new lag tech did not do all the tests so I don't have Total T and Total E.
My E2 came down to 21 from 50.1 range <20 to 56.
My Free T came down to 23.6 from 36.6 pg/mLrange 8.8 to 27 pg/mL. Not having my Total T. the Dr. said he feels that it also came down.
My Prolactin came down to 4.73 from 11.99 range 1/8 to 14.4 ng/mL.
My TSH came down to 1.96 from 2.592 range 0.4 to 4.7 uIU/mL.
My CHOL/HDL Ratio came down to 3.7 low from 4.2 range 4.0 to 6.7 Ratio.
I lost more weight down 5 more lbs. The Dr. told me to stay on what I am doing and and he changed the does of Hcg to 500 IU's MFS and on W the day of my shot I am to do 250 IU's of Hcg. He asked me how the working out was going I told him I started low but now have upped the load on the mach's and upped the set to 3 . I told him I am getting stronger very fast I never felt this strong working out with Low T.
He feels it is the Hcg.

Here is the work out program I am doing now. All of it on Machines. 3 times a week MWF.

Biceps 1 set of 12 reps at a load of 35 KG's. 1 set of 10 reps at a load of 40 KG's and 1 set of 8 reps at a load of 45 KG's.

Triceps same as Biceps.

Push-up 1 set of 12 reps at a load of 40 KG's. 1 set of 10 reps at a load of 45 KG's and 1 set of 8 reps at a load of 50 KG's.

Pull-Down 1 set of 12 reps at a load of 45 KG's. 1 set of 10 reps at a load of 50 KG's and 1 set of 8 reps at a load of 55 KG's.

Curl-Up the load is 40 KG's doing 3 sets of 12, 10 and 8 reps.

Curl-Down the load is 50 KG's doing 3 sets of 12, 10 and 8 reps.

Chest Press the load is 40 KG's doing 3 sets of 12, 10 and 8 reps.

Peck Deck the load is 35 KG's doing 3 sets of 12, 10 and 8 reps.

Adduction the load is 35 KG's doing 3 sets of 12, 10 and 8 reps.

Abduction same as Adduction.

Leg Extension the load is 40 KG's doing 3 sets of 12, 10 and 8 reps.

Leg Curl same as Leg Extension.

Abdomen the load is 40 KG's doing 3 sets of 25 reps.

Back-Press same as Abdomen.

Leg Press the load is 25 KG's doing 3 sets of 12, 10 and 8 reps.

Optimal Rhomb the load is 35 KG's doing 3 sets of 12, 10 and 8 reps.

Then I do the orbital stepper for a half hr. the stretching for 20 min.
On the days I am not working out I walk for an hour.

All this and just 6 months ago I was house bound for 3 yrs. On this days I am not working out I walk one hour and take Sat. off.

Phil,

It is encouraging to see your improvement! I have very similar issues
just like yours. I did gels then switched to injections. I have been feeling
better with injections, joint and back pain is less. My energy levels seem to
be better for about 3 to 4 days after my shot, then fall abruptly. I have been able to exercise again, but only for 2 days out of the week. I just finished my 5th week and had my labs done. I'm curious to see just where my levels fall.

i say u get off the machines and start using free weights....... your body can tell the difference and u will see more progress with free weights.... useless u just like using the machines.........but hey if it's working for u congratz...........
 
Can only tell you my experience, that 250iu of hcg 3x a week is all I needed...

Phil--I think maybe the drop is being caused by testicular desentization to the HCG, and would decrease your HCG dose further.

The leydig cells can become desensitized at only 500 IU 3 days/week? Wow.

Just goes to show why exogenous testosterone is needed in addition to the hCG I guess.

You are right but I am a care giver and take my mother in law 85 to the OPC "Old Persons Center" where I work out they have a care givers room to sit wile you go to there gym. I only pay $1.00 to use the machines. This way I don't need to get someone to sit with her wile I go to the gym.

It is hard to say Weight Watchers has my goal weight set for 170 but my Dr. said no way I could go that low. I am big boned I put my wedding ring on big guys thumbs. The last time I weighed 210 I had a 34 inch waste line. So now at 61 to get a 34 inch waste if I can keep woking out might be like 190 to 210.

Boy I sure hope I don't have testicular desentization like SWALE says I asked my Dr. if this could happen and he told me not at that does. My Dr. does not feel my Testis are making that much T he feels it could be coming from my other glands. Can't think of the name he used.

I weighed in today and lost 6 and 1/2 lbs so now I am down 38 and 1/2 lbs in 17 weeks. Man I feel stronger by the day.

She has been more of a mother to me then my own mother. I love her just as much. It is not easy but very rewarding and yes honorable.

SWALE my Dr. told me if my next test in 2 weeks does not show my levels coming up then we are going to cut the Hcg down to 250 IU's the 2 days before my next shot.
