Protein powder in: pumpkin pudding; oatmeal; cookies; yogurt; baked breads and cakes, pancakes/waffles/French toast; eveb stuff like apple crisps.
One thing I find amazing: mashed baked sweet potatoes. I use like 6-8 lbs at a time.
1. Bake them until they are very well cooked, super sweet! Thisbis critical, boiling WILL NOT WORK (okay, you can "make it happen" by asding extra maple syrup but it just aint the same!!!
2. Then peel and mix with a minimal olive oil/ butter as possible
3. Add in like 1 cup milk to start.
4. Add in like a 1/4-1/2 tspb salt and like 1 tbsp maple syrup
5. Start mixing with th me electric mixer. Add more milk if it is too chunky. It must be liquid-y enough to use the electric hand mixer to get a nice smooth mashed consistency)
5. Enjoy!
I have used the following organic sweet potatoes for this recipe:
1. Garnet red sweet potatoes
2. Japanese purple
3. White sweet potatoes
4. Beauregard sweet potatoes
All of them are amazing. I think the white ones go best with maple syrup, where as the garnet or Beauregard are better plain
Then, I will weigh out 200-300 grams of the mashed sweet potato mix, heat it up, and throw a scoop of whey in there. It tastes amazing and gives you a nice protein carb hit. If you want a little more savory, throw a couple overeasy eggs and some spinach on top and let the yolks mix in with the mashed sweet potatoes. Want a dessert? Throw some strawberry preserves in there for a hint of fruit, or some dark chocolate chips (55-85% cacao, depending on your taste) and a dash of cloves. Wanna add some fat and more creamy flavor? Warm it up and melt some cream cheese in there (I only buy organic Valley Plain Cream Cheese from Pasture Raised cows, that shit is on another level I swear) with some cinnamon. Even cacao powder isbdelicious too! I swear there is endless possibilities. It is an amazing dessert, breakfast, power workout meal. I fucking love it. Mashed sweet potatoes are super versatile and being able to add 1 scoop (25 grams of whey) to each bowl of 200-300 grams really actually makes for a macro friendly.
I encourage everyone to give baked mashed sweet potatoes with whey protein and some extra flavors a try!!
