Using Licorice Root to Lower Testosterone for TRT Test

Hey guys. Have any of you ever used Licorice Root to lower your T levels for TRT tests? I am on the border(309), and want to make sure my next test tanks so I can get the damn prescription. I have read Cy Wilson's article"Your doctor, your dealer", although he makes no mention of this study or technique, which seems to be MUCH easier to handle than his suggestions. (for 7 days straight: drink a lot of alcohol, don't sleep much, don't eat much, last 24-48 hours, don't eat anything, or sleep, still chug beer)

I came across this article, which states there was a reduction in testosterone of about 40% within 4 days, just from taking about 7g of licorice root daily. After 4 days of coming off the pills, testosterone pretty much went back up to normal.

Has anyone tried this?

This is nonsense, if your doc won't write you a script for that result fire him and find another.

You can take Norco"s (or other pain pills) for several days straight before your test and you will show lower testosterone readings . Several guys I know dropped their test by 40-50% by doing this ...

I forgot to add, I had the test done myself because I suspected low T. I haven't actually had the doc run the numbers yet.

No norcos on hand or any good pain meds. But thanks ogh

Why don't you just save yourself some money, Find a legit source, and self prescribe?

Do you realize the cost or TRT, or HRT? Even with insurance you're looking at a pretty hefty bill.

Not to mention having to work your blasts around blood work.

Just curious..How old are you?

Unfortunately not an option at this point.

What's the reason then? Fudging with your blood work isn't going to solve the underlying issue...309 may be on the low side, but that doesnt mean Test is your best bet, or only option.

What are you talking about "Hefty Bill". ALl I pay is the specialist copy of $50 to see the doc twice a year for blood draw and check up and test is $10 copy every few months.

From those numbers I imagine you've been on trt for at least a couple of years. The initial cost to get started is far greater then when you have everything dialed in and are only seeing the doc twice a year.

Aside from this, that's probably the lowest I've ever seen anyone pay for trt. 10 dollar copay on a bottle of test....gtfo

Well, when i cycled couple years back, i just remember finally feeling "normal" again. I have many if not most of the traditional symptoms of low T, and when i was on cycle, they were all gone. I don't necessarily want to cycle right now, but I do want to feel normal again. They originally wanted to order the T test, but i believe they forgot, so they called me back in. The rest of my blood work came back, everything else looks fine.

Well, I have been taking close to 7g of licorice root a day for the last 4-5 days, I will check back to see if it lowered at all....

Results are back. 367 it went up! They won't do anything for me since it's within normal range.

So the doc ended up prescribing me 200 milligrams of testosterone c every 3 weeks. This was after basically pleading her to prescribe me testosterone instead of an antidepressant. I hate how they're so easy to prescribe some b******* instead of trying test first. Needless to say I don't think 200 milligrams every 3 weeks is going to do it for me. What do you guys think?

The rollercoaster from 200mg every three weeks is gonna make you feel like shit.

If you are 367 why don't you just optimize your lifestyle like do some compound lifts and eat high fat diet and add vitamin d3 and have good sex etc

This is the stupidity that my other post about overprescribing of T was talking about. You could easily boost your T to good normal levels in the 400s but instead you want the quick fix /instant gratification of an injection.

or you could to something safer like hop on test prop at a slightly higher than hrt dose for a couple months then stop 2 weeks before test and have lower levels... better yet prop and npp for 8-10 weeks and go for bloods 2 weeks later, then do pct or just go right to your hrt with doc.
not sure on the licorice root... got a link?

tell them you need weekly injections, and that 100-200mg ew is standared. tell them you want to go with 100mg every week and then get tested a few weeks in and go from there. 200mg every 3 weeks is just stupid and shows lack of current knowledge

This is "gaming" the system and i wonder how many dudes are doing this to get on TRT.

voice what i stated and if they dont agree tell them you want a ref to a specialist or go to new doc and voice the same thing again till you findsomeone with some sense. docs work for you, not YOU for THEM, keep that in mind, they seem to forget that alot...
