USP or non-USP grade oil?

Do you need to use USP grade oil for homebrewing? I’m looking to brew with olive oil since its thicker then GSO but not as crazy as castor oil.

Will I be fine to use a quality unrefined extra virgin olive oil from the grocery store? Anyone have experience brewing with olive oil?

USP means prefiltered that adheres to USP standards

But why olive oil? There are oils readily available that are thinner and can hold better px MCT

Is there any need or benefit to USP for homebrewing in my case or in general though?

I’d only use GSO or the slightly thicker olive oil, as I can’t tolerate MCT/Mig840. I don’t mind the extra thickness.

I prefer using refined oil as the smoking point is higher.
I prefer filtering the oil I'm about to use with a 0.45um sterile(or non sterile filter) first. Then proceed with brewing.

Then I filter the final mixture with 0.2um/0.22um sterile filter before filling into a sterile vial.

Also from a health aspect, seed oils are ridiculously inflammatory, high in Omega 6. I'm also going to brew with olive oil.
