USPS paranoia?

i placed an order last week with my go to guy.
Got the tracking number and have been keeping an eye on it.

The pack was in route, about an hour and a half away. USPS website said expected delivery date was yesterday.

The pack then got sent further away, about five hours away, then came back a little closer at about four hours away, then closer yet at about three hours away (travel distances from facilities to destination).

Damn thing didn't show today and at last check is still in a facility approximately three hours away. As far as i know.

Why would it back track like that when it was on the final leg of it's journey?
Human error possibly?

Keep telling myself, if they're gonna pinch me, why the theatrics? Why not send it through and fuck me asap?

Maybe i'm just being paranoid... Any insight?

Edit: It's a domestic pack, btw.

I'd say it got sent to the wrong facility. If its domestic, there is very little chance of it getting intercepted. When one of mine got stuck in customs is when I worried. Packages get lost all the time, be patient, you will get it

Thanks for the reply.
T/A is honestly the least of my concerns at the moment.

It's the whole back tracking thing that's got me paranoid.

Then again, i don't place many orders these days, so this could be par for the course with USPS.

Anyway, thanks again!

USPS fucked up a pack I'm waiting on too. It's domestic, it's been a week since I ordered and still showing a delivery date of 17th. Which is way late now. But mine hasn't had any updates since it left the distribution center on the 16th in the state it got sent from.

Another day, another headache.
So my pack is approximately 3 hours east of where it should be...

No big deal but the last update say's it's out for fucking delivery!

Should i be worried that somebody in another county might get a pack with my name and possibly my address on it?

If you have lots of international parcel, why not rent a post box and leave a chop at the post? All your info will be protected someway.

Packages have been delivered to the wrong address before. u should be concerned if it says delivered and u have not received it. Shipping companies suck

i checked to see if there was a street and address the same as mine in that county, couldn't find one.

Hopefully the postman has an IQ higer than 3 and realizes the mistake.

T/A time doesn't mean a fuck to me right now, security is my top priority.

What does this mean? It has been sent and is in the area. You will get it. Chill pill time.

It went to a facility an hour and a half away, for the second time this morning.
Then it went even further away, about three hours or so away, where it said it was on the truck to be delivered.

Now it's back at a facility three hours away.

So, in a nut shell. The package keeps going to the wrong county where it gets processed, begins to head the proper way and then gets sent out going the wrong way.

i'm willing to bet my shipping label has the wrong zip code on it.

Like i said, it's a security thing, not a T/A thing.

You may be right. At some point you have to contact your sources and ask for a reship and have the info to prove that there is a fuck up. Ask for a reship and if he refuses plaster his name all over every board you can.

i wonder if i can contact USPS and have that fixed? Saw something or other about a package intercept option. May have to give that a shot.

Worst case scenario, i'll let the source know. All they have to do is check the tracking number to see the figure eight's this pack is doing.

Thanks for the input!

Well, spoke with my mail carrier.
He gave me a number to call.

Called the number, the guy on the other end confirmed that the source put the wrong zip code on the package and is going to try to get it corrected.

Fucking zip code he used wasn't even close!

First time for everything, i guess.
Here's hoping he got to them in time before they deem it undeliverable!
