commenting on your 50/50 MCT/Castor post: great idea, also from an educational purpose. I feel it could become a trend once more people find out how good this works.
I get the idea that people that like mct will also like that 50/50 combination, just because it's change in thickness is hardly noticable when pinning or drawing. I feel any preference towards MCT seems mostly grown out of familiarity, since MCT-only brews are offered so commonly. and there aren't a lot of vendors thinking about this stuff or willing to do an extra step in production/preparation.
Castor is an unknown for some because vendors often practically choose MCT since it has a proven track record. however it's for a good reason that most quality pharma test is in castor. Blending those is heaven.
I pin the 50/50 MCT/Castor ratio with 30g without heating the vials, and there are no issues with thickness whatsoever, I don't notice any change over normal MCT. However I do get to enjoy all the various benefits castor gives me such as less e2 spikes and less pip.
