VERY low testosterone, 19 year old

I think I suffered low T all my life: always tired, weak erections, sometimes my penis was cold and felt dead, dry skin, almost no muscle gains in the gym, no motivation for anything, felt like crap. I tested my Testosterone a year ago and it was: 240ng/dl

Doctor gave me a lot of tests to make (I will go to him in a week by now)

Did the blood and it looks like that right now:

  • Testosterone: 190 ng/dl (241-880)
  • Prolactin: 18 ng/dl (5-24)
  • Estradiol: 24 pg/ml (40 max for men)
  • TSH: 4.232 miu/l (0.33 - 5.33)
  • LH: 5.28 miu/l (1.5 - 9.3)
  • FSH: 7.41 miu/l (1.4 - 18.1)
  • Cortisol: 24 ug/dl (6-22)
  • DHEA: 361 ug/dl (80-580)
  • Androstendion: 3.15 ng/ml (0.6-3.1)
Do you think I qualify for TRT?

Yes.

But @19 you should goto an endocronologist to see if they can find the underlying cause.

How does "restart" look like? HCG and Tamoxifen? Thanks

Either clomid or tamoxifen.

You take low dose for example 12.5mg clomid eod for about a month.

Talk to your doctor about it -- it may make more sense to try that because it may boost your hormone levels without needing lifelong TRT.

(note: clomid has emotional sides for some men so high doses are not recommended)

I'll try that, but I highly doubt it will get me past 500 ng/dl of test. And even if, it will still be low and I won't get TRT because I'm in "range".

The purpose of TRT isnt to have high testosterone levels it is to be in a healthy normal range. Do whatever you want but I have been on testosterone replacement since 29 years old and I am stopping it now 5 years later because it did not provide me with all the benefits I thought it would.

Healthy normal range is 241-900. It's laughable and not fair. How is someone with 241 the same as a guy with 900?

Anyway, thanks for the replies. I'll see in a week.

LH and FSH looks actually not bad. What makes me worry is your TSH, you are in my eyes Hypothyroid. No wonder you feel like how you feel.

I would in your case try with your Doctor Levothyroxine 25mcg for the next 3 months and see how you feel and if it makes your TSH down to the 0.20 - 1.40 range. Adjust from there if needed to 50mcg.

Your Prolactin is looking high, i would buy Vitamin B6 and supplement 50mg in the morning and 50mg before you sleep. 100mg all in one made me jittery so i always splitted them. It made my prolactin almost to the deficit range hehe

It would not suprise me that your B12 is also low, i would supplement for extra energy with 1.000 or 5.000 mcg methylcobalamin sublingual.

Estradiol looks ok

Androstendion looks elevated like mine! I added Zinc everyday to lower it and it its now in the middle range. I take 22mg Zinc picolinate while diner everyday since then. It will also push your Testo beside that.

Too push your Testo further i would add Vitamin D 10.000 UI with K2 everyday while diner for perfect absorption. It pushed my Vit D to the 60 ng/ml area so no worry about toxcity with that dose.

As your FSH and LH doesn't look that bad, i would say you will push your Testo into the upper 600 ng/dl area with my plan. I am sure you will soon feel like a new human :)

Thank you very much for this one. If my doc won't "fix" it for me, I will definitely try your method.

Just because it's a higher number doesn't necessarily mean you'll feel better the higher it is. I actually feel better and do better around 600 as opposed to 800. I was diagnosed with primary hypogonadism almost no body hair/ facial hair in till recently, I'm 28 I was at 180-190 when I got tested.

Did your muscle tone, facial and body hair got significantly better when on test?

Yes lots of hair. But my main point is more is not necessarily better. Muscle tone wasn't terrible before but gains have come 100 times easier due to recovery being sped up. Find a good endo and understand the risks to benefits before committing to anything. Read read read.

So I've been to the doc today and he told me to pin 250mg of test once in two weeks (which sucks) for 3 months. He told me that my brain and kidneys are fine, so the problem is most likely in the balls. I don't really know what his plans for later are though.

And what about high Cortisol? Doc told me it doesn't matter, but I literally get huuuge body acne, dry skin. How to lower it?

I was on that dose too, you can adjust after blood work to E10D like me if your levels are too low on the day of the next injection. Your next blood should be 2 months after treatment.

But please monitor your TSH after every bloodtest. It could climb even higher.

Take the supplements i said as they can control your TSH too, levothyroxine is a complicated bitch, much more complicated to dose than Testo. So it would be good to avoid it.

If I pin on monday, what day should I make the blood test?
