vivid dreams on androgel

I have experienced very vivid dreams while taking androgel right before bed~5mg.
I normally do not have vivid dreams. I can't say that I don't mind, just curious if anyone else has had the same effect occur to them?

I have allways used my T meds compounded or Gels in the morning hell you feel better after you put it on and the insert says to put it on in the morning. I know men that do 5 grams in the morning and 5 grams at dinner time. But never heard of at bed time.

But the gel is absorbed fairly quickly (over a few hours). I'd rather have my TEST levels highest in the morning/early afternoon than while I'm sleeping. All it would do is make sleeping difficult. A deep sleep would be next to impossible (for me anyway).

Originally I was with a Doc that had me do half the gel when I woke up and half in the late afternoon. I guess following the body's rhythm. If I was out all afternoon/evening and put it on before bed I slept terribly.

I guess I'm going against the recommended time but hey, i like to experiment a bit to see what works best.

I have tried taking it at various times throughout the day and for me when I take it right before bed I feel extremely charged in the morning and thoughout the day.

Plus the dreams have been colorful and memorable. I'm currently not taking any melatonine either.

Is it important to apply directly after showering? Or can it be applied as long as the skin is clean?

Basically, will the absorption be affected either way?

It's recommended after showering because if you have just recently showered then there's little chance you'll be taking another one in the next 5 or so hours which could wash it off reducing its effectiveness. That's the biggie.

However, in my experience, if (for some reason) you have to forego a shower and there is still residue left over from the day prior you should at least wash the area with a wet towel. Otherwise you get a glue-like substance created and it's nasty.

Yes, as long as things are clean you should be fine but don't shower too soon afterwards.

I would recommend after a shower. I am no Dr., so I don't know if this is possible, but the gel is a transdermal and if anything else was on your skin could it pass into the bloodstream as well? Could this possibly get someone sick?

The other reason why the morning may be better is to keep it from passing to any female partners you may have If you get lucky in the evening then you don't want it rubbing all over her, unless you like a 5 o'clock shadow! (I don't know how true this is, but it is something mr Doc warned against when I was on Androgel).

If you are using a Gel AndroGel or Testim and your sleeping with your wife you need to shower before going to bed. I gel if it gets on her will cause problems. It happened to us. Why take a chance it is not worth it.
