Way to recover Bitcoin send to a Bitcoin Cash Wallet? (receiver end)

So I sent (stupidly) a good chunk of bitcoin to a bitcoin cash wallet.

Ledger nano s (my wallet) says it is recoverable by the Bitcoin Cash Wallet owner by using private keys.

Anyone know this to be true. They have the same addresses values.
