Weird blood test - very low e2 despite never using PCT

So my friend did a blood test, never used anything only did ostarine but that was 1 month before the blood test

His total testosterone level is 494ng/dl
His Estradiol came back at <19ng/dl
He said he ate about 150-200g protein the day before the blood test as usual. The blood test was in the morning, he didn’t train.

Why is his e2 so low? Would his totat t be higher or lower if his e2 was normal? Or is this a wrong test? He never used any pct.

For reference my blood work was like this:
Testosterone 644 ng/dl
Estradiol 25 ng/dl

Also in the morning. What do you guess what my totat t level would be if I was eating high protein and sleep enough? The day before the blood work I only slept 5 hours and didn’t eat enough protein (I am usually getting around 50g of protein daily but had around 30-40 the day before the test) I fasted the night, didnt eat in the morning for the blood test. I also have type 1 diabetes and have rather bad control (hba1c of 7,5 usually)
Lets say I fix all these what do you guess my potential of total testosterone would be? I planned on pinning test but if I would get over 800 naturally I wouldn’t consider it.

His E2 appears to be in the normal range, but without that labs ranges being posted there is no way to know. Different labs have different ranges. Where is person is in the range tends to matter more then the assigned value.

And proportionally his T to E is close to yours. But that doesn't matter. It would need to be applied to a large group if a call was going to be made as a comparison.

Why would the amount of protein he ate in 1 day make a difference?

<19 could also mean his e2 is at 5. The lab just said under 19, not the exact value. Also he eats 200g of protein everyday.

Is my e2 level of 25ng/dl too much?

Here is quest reference range form my last test there.
Reference Range: < OR = 29 pg/m

And from Labcorp last time i was tested here.
LabCorp range 7.6-42.6

So 5 could be within range depending on the lab or range used. Hence the reason i said the ranges need to be posted of guessing is needed to decide how good or bad something is.

The 29 at Quest is the same as the 42 at Labcorp as it is the top of the range. Values change depending on the lab and machine used. Where a person is in the range is how to track things. Blood values on most tests are not written in stone. The are viewed to the range the lab uses.

With a range such as Labcorp i prefer to be 20-35 ideally from the few long term studies i have seen as far as what may be best for health/longevity.

The reference range just says under 42.

What matters here tho is ng/L, his e2 is under 19, exact value not known maybe even at 10 even though no pct was used.

You don't need PCT to have normal or low E2. He would need a more accurate test to know where he is

If the top of the range is 19 then 10 could well be in a normal range no way to know without more info.

My E2 first time i get tested when i was natural 25 years ago was 11 i think the scale was roughtly10-40. And my T was 450. I have had it be anywhere from 9- 30 when doing real TRT where mt test levels stayed in range for the whole week.

Some people don't need AI. My TRT doc was surprised that with no AI my E2 could be ~15 way back when on the sensitive test. For someone like me, if I took the normal AI he prescribes (I think it was 1mg Adex per week) then I got hot flashes like a menopausal woman.

Long story short your buddy's E2 is probably OK. BUT it could also be a shitty E2 test. Make sure you get the Labcop Sensitive or Quest Ultrasensitive test (if in the USA). < 19 sounds like it doesn't have much accuracy at lower levels.
