Filtering doesn’t have anything to do with product crashing. I guess your other point is better safe than sorry

I don't know since filtering it it stopped crashing. I'm actually kinda worried I filtered the gear out somehow by not heating it enough lol.

Yes.

If it was crashed during time of filter then yes, you most likely filtered it out.

If it was not crashed during filtering, you’re good.

Edit: adding more BA is pointless. Most UGL brew with too much BA (imo). 2% is overkill but standard. 1% is what I use in my brews. Adding more will add PIP and dilution
