I just went to pick up some money from my friend and they said I needed an ID, but everyone on here said to use a Fake Name. What should I do?

Go back when someone else is there. I have found that some will bust balls and ask for Ids (even when its not needed) and others wont.
Did you remember to use a test question? without a test question there maybe some problems picking up the cash.

If you have a test question, they cant force you to have ID.
Contact the person who sent it and have them rectify the problem. If they contact WU and ask them why they are not allowing the other party to pick up thier funds, WU will probably back off.
If you act like you are doing something wrong, you will get busted.
Act like they dont have a right to keep your money or you will get a supervisor or superior. Get their name, ask who their supervisor is, so on.
This is why businesses call the shots, because we let them. You tell them what to do. (within reason) They are being paid to provide a service. They are not doing you a favor, they are getting paid for it. Act like you are doing them a favor.
