What are some of your favorite beers?

I am a beer lover and I haven’t seen a thread regarding favorite beer selections like this so I figured I give it a go. I generally dig all different types of beers from somewhat of a bland lager to heavy barley wines. I really don’t care too much for the sour varietals like the heavy saisons but here are a few of my favorites that you can relatively find with some ease.

1. Rogue - dead guy ale
2. Yards - Jefferson ale
3. Evil twin - biscotti imperial stout
4. Blue point - toasted lager

My current favorites are local beers, I'm fortunate to live in an area with very good brew pubs. I've really developed a taste for classic pilsners over the last few years

Dogfish Head 60 minute
Troegs Perpetual and Nugget Nectar
Founders All Day IPA
Stouts American Pilsner
Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout
The classic Yeungling... That's always a safe call when the rest of the draft list isn't ringing my bells.

I have a handful of German imports I really enjoy also but probably few would recognize the names - Späten is one that can be found in the import section in the US, the Oktoberfest they sell is one of the same beers served at Oktoberfest in Munich.

That is a good one. Has a pineapple taste... Many were consumed on a beach over the summer.

Most of the non-local IPAs have already been mentioned (Dogfish, Founders) but I also like Lagunitas, Ballast Point Sculpin, VooDoo Ranger, Stone. I think these are sold or on tap nationwide as I’ve had them while traveling. Typically for beer I’ll go with whatever is local, then one of the above. First love is whiskey neat.

I've had that Lagunitas Little sumthin sumthin before. I liked it. I dont remember what type of beer it is though.

Yeah, Newcastle is good. I've had the Schofferhofer red grapefruit in Germany but I've seen it here too.

I really liked Brooklyn blast too but just as it was mentioned previously it is hard to find now. The defender IPA that they make is just not the same. Same with smuttynose old brown dog. It is a dark brown American ale, very good, but hard to find lately.

My favorite all time beer that I have ever had was Harpoon Leviathan IPA. It is no longer in production.
