What bottle top filters?

What bottle top filters are you guys using now? Last time I went with Whatman 500ml Zap Cap-CR Bottle-Top Filter Nylon Membrane 0.2um Micron per the recommendation of several members here.

Is this still the one I should go with?

Are there other, better options?

I use PVDF membrane because I read its better than other ones, solvent wise

I would go there and buy those:

500mL, Millipore Steritop Bottle-Top Filter, PVDF Membrane, 0.22um, Qty.1

Maybe even nylon is good to BB and BA, I remember PVDF and PTFE (Teflon) are more resistant... maybe I m wrong, don’t know, I would use PTFE and PVDF anyway..



Glass media bottle for
filtration since the plastic ones implodes every time if you can’t regulate the pressure of vacuum filtration with some valves etc... with this glass one you don’t need to regulate vacuum

And then I would use this assembled septa cap to seal the bottle, the septa is pierceable
So you can draw your oil when you need without open the bottle and let air contaminate your filtered liquid.
