Say we’re doing it for size so 4 sets of 8 with 1min rest in between sets.

What would you consider to be an acceptable dumbbell bench press?

I want to know if I’m seriously lacking or I’m doing OK. I can dumbbell bench press (with good form) 90s 4x8

I need much more than 1 minute rest.

What's "acceptable" depends on whether you're lifting for strength or size, age, training experience, weight, amount of injuries etc... you do you.

Last year September I did 50kg (110lbs) x 11 clean slow reps, but maybe not full depth because I have a partial RC tear. Not many gyms have much bigger dumbbells, and most very strong people find barbells more convenient with big weights. I've been in gyms with 100kg (220lbs) dumbbells and nobody lifts them without (at least) 2 people helping.

Just ask Big Lenny

I meant at your weight your dumbbell bench should be ~120lbs with a ~90-100lb dumbbell shoulder press. Many factors come into play though. I much prefer free weights for building stabilizers. I never use a barbell. Kinda like Jay Cutler, I believe he only trained with dumbbells and hammer machine for chest.

I feel like those are pretty high numbers for a 180 lber

Obviously cycle length etc will play a role.

Ya lots of factors. You’re right that could be considered upper limit. If the 5’5 guy at 190lb can do 135 for 13 thats decent.
I used to be 5'10 185 at my leanest(natural)
Repping flat DB press 120x8. I am too scared to attempt high weight after tearing my chest.

I caught myself doing incline for 110x8 very comfortably recently but declined to challenge myself out of fear.

Currently 224 probably near the same bf. I avoid lifts less than 10 typically

It depends on your audience judging. Even 5lbs is resoectable to the paraplegics crowd.

Those are some good stats man. Especially that solid of a weight gain with the same relative body fat percentage. I’ve never had any injuries besides a broken collarbone from hockey. I try not to push it too heavy as I need more growth, so I have been focusing on slow eccentric movements. I’ll warm up to a weight where I can do 3x12 for most exercises. RPE of about 8.

That was 8 years ago. I stopped after injuries. I eventually weighed 200 at around 24% bodyfat when I decided to lift again.

Now I am estimating about 13-14% at 224. Dexa scan on Friday to see where I'm at

Pictures are the best estimate still. Most people should add ~5% bf to what they think they are, depends how much experience they have. Best thing to do is to learn from people that know what they're talking about for example former competitors. Just as an example dude above me is probably ~14% body fat, of course it's just an estimation based on one picture, but it's still closer to reality than 10-11%.
