What does your diet consist of??

Do you like the taste of the Jasmine rice better than brown?
Ray,
I am in love with Jasmine rice right now. Love the sticky, fluffy texture, and taste! It's so easy to cool also. I prep my meals the night before so with the jasmine rice I just throw one cup rice with two cups water in the microwave for 20 minutes, fluff it, and I have a delicious 4 servings of carbs for the next day.

*cook, easy to COOK I meant to write, not cool.

Also 1/4 cup of jasmine rice (measured uncooked) packs 40 grams of carbs. It takes 1/2 cup (measured uncooked) to hit that with brown rice.

I'm going have to try it because brown rice is one of my primary carb sources so it would be good to have a variety of different kinds of rice...

I just noticed my post was missing.

Has anyone ever tried converted white rice? Its supposed to have a lower GI rating than brown rice.

Also I asked Millard about the missing posts and we lost over 200 with the conversion ad 100 yesterday when he had to do a backup.

Yea no big deal on the loss. Was can rebuilt it!

But I don't know much about it. Says its pressure treated and parboiled to push the nutrients from the husk into the grain. Which causing it to break down slower I guess.

I love white rice so I'm gonna pick some up when I can

Sweet brother let us know. I'm a rice junkie too. Eating it 4x a day currently.

Typical quick over view of diet:
Breakfast:
Black Coffee or tea (green or black).
Grain mush (Kamut, barley, spelt, wheat berries and amaranth with Yogurt (plain).
3 eggs raw
snack: Fruit (usually grapefruit or banana with raw nuts).
Lunch:
Lean meat/tuna fish. Sometimes with carbs (brn rice most likely) or not. Raw veges.
Snack: Same as above and more raw veges.
Dinner: Same as lunch.
After workout:
MLO Brown Rice Protein Powder with bananas, yogurt and some other fruit.

^^^^ Grain mush - theres something different , I like the Bob's Red Mill grain hot cereals , great pre-workout food.....~Ogh
I got the idea many years ago from Clarence Bass' original Ripped. With cinnamon and nutmeg and lil' yogurt on top, its actually good once you get past the texture. And it will keep you regular!lol1

What are your current goals heady?

I am in my mid-forties so I am not trying to gain mass or much. Maintenance; lean and harden up.

I am fortunate enough to meet Ed Corney and Bill Pearl as a young body builder in the 80's. Both said when they got into their forties they were trying to maintain. I don't know why but that stuck with me. Not really sure if they stuck to it though.

Right now, trying to lose some BF and not lose much else. I am not on a run as of yet but probably beginning of july I will, if I can get all the ingredients I am looking for. I ran a PH run for a IMF log not too long ago. Thickened me up, maybe lost a lil' bodyfat. I've been traveling a lot for work, so that puts a crunch on goals sometimes. Before that, when I got real var and test, I did a good 8 week run. It was fun. Only thing I am using now is Ur spray and DAA and some other silly supplements.LOL.

When my diet gets boring and I will allow myself things I don't usually eat, like a cheeseburger with grilled onions once in a while. I don't really have a sweet tooth except for dark chocolate, so really no problems there. I guess that's about it. I haven't competed in a body building show since 92' (I think). Just love training and sculpting my body. I couldn't imagine getting on stage now unless I can get to judge the fitness women in their bikinis!
