what is your fasted blood glucose on hgh and how much do you take?

Wanna bet when does it show that I started working out?Screenshot_20250309-193434.webp

I started gh in the last couple of weeks and have brought my dose up to 4iu, been sat there for a few days. My morning, fasted bgl has gone from 4.8mmol (86) to 6.1 (110). Obviously this change has me slightly concerned. This mornings reading was taken 12 hours since last meal.

Its worth noting that I've been almost completely sedentary while recovering from my vasectomy and have been in a fairly steep deficit too, whilst taking 4mg retatrutide, 2mg tirzepatide per week. Also have been struggling to sleep which I've read can affect things. Reintroducing exercise gradually from today depending on how sore my balls get.

Ordering some berberine now, but just thought id get some opinions on my situation.

Mine is always a bit over 100 upon waking, even on 3-4 iu of GH. thats why I use insulin
Assuming you use the insulin around training and not just for your bg? I would obviously rather try everything else before going straight to the big guns.

I've been injecting 2-3 IU before bed for about two months. My fasting blood sugar level averages 110. I'm a little worried. My mother is diabetic. I have five vials left, after which I'll stop taking HGH. What do you think? Can I safely use the remaining vials without taking berberine, insulin, etc.? By the way, I'm already 50 years old.

I would not FAFO with diabetes man. I would start Berberine or something to help bring down that blood sugar. A glp1 could help too.

how long have you been on the reta/tirz combo? i thought reta did something to lower bg levels? Also its early in your dose increase and hopefully should level out a bit, but like others have said, get on berberine at the very least 1000 mg daily, , And diet has alot to do with hgh and fbg, ,

How close does this track with your surgery? Surgery/stress increases BG. Could take a few weeks to normalize.

You've got the deficit going for you, which should help.

If you're into micromanaging BG, maybe this wasn't the best time to start GH.

I started the reta/tirz about 4 weeks ago, and to be fair looking back through my fasted bgl, it hasn't exactly been a consistent rise. It's been fairly variable but my first fasted blg was 4.8 and today's was 6.1. I'll keep an eye on things, early days as you say.

My surgery was a week ago today, and my levels dont exactly match up with it but it has been over the last week I've seen a slightly steeper increase.

Im really not into micromanaging my bgl but just keeping an eye on it since starting hgh. Also not stressing about this at all, would just like to keep on top of things. I'll see how things progress with the berberine and post surgery recovery.

What's the reason for combining Tirz and Reta? Tirz is real world proven highly effective at improving glucose regulation even in severe diabetes, while the jury's still out on Reta.

If glucose control is the priority, maybe a higher dose of Tirz would be more effective. Even 5mg doesn't cause a lot of appetite suppression in most men.

So glucose control is not the aim of the reta/tirz, I'm on a cut. Any bgl control is just a bonus when it comes to the hgh.

Why im combining them? I've used tirzepatide in the past successfully and I wanted to try reta for this cut, but heard that the appetite suppression occurs mostly at higher doses, and I didnt want to push the dosage up too quickly. So I added a small dose of tirz in. I've seen people suggesting semaglutide to boost suppression but I've used it in the past and really didnt get along with it, the sides for me were way worse than tirz.

Oh ok.

Yeah sema is a sledgehammer.

GIP agonism in Tirz is essentially identical to the natural hormone, in Reta it's around 8x stronger. Paradoxically it doesn't seem to have provided superior A1C reduction, and it may be that Tirz got the glp/gip balance just right for that, while absolute binding strength isn't the defining factor. Could even be that Reta is causing a downregulation of GIP receptors while Tirz isn't.

It wouldn't surprise me if Reta is the first GLP released primarily for weight management and fatty liver disease, but Tirz remains Eli Lilly's preferred treatment for diabetes.

What's the difference? Your body needs insulin for recovery, which happens 24/7

This mornings fasted bgl was 4.7 (84.6) which happens to be after my first proper night sleep in a couple of weeks. My diet has been largely the same, perhaps slightly less carbs than usual yesterday but fuck all in it.

Morning fasted for me is normally 70s-80s at 1 iu. I tried to increase dose and it went up 103 the next morning. I lowered back down to 1iu after that.
