What mechanism makes this specific machine so damn light?

This specific hammer strength row is in most gyms I've been too so I'm sure 90% of you out there know it/have used it. I'm wondering what specifically makes the weight on this machine feel like nothing? I swear it's the leg press of the back. Any chump can load as many plates as it can hold and rep it out forever. No pulley involved so I'm just curious how it works.

I stopped using that thing when I need 4 plates a side just to get a good set in.

Training alone I swapped a lot of these exercises for easier weight loading. Ex: barbell squats or plate loaded leg press - u have to load so many plates when there are squat machines and leg press machines that just use a selector pin. Just as effective without all the extra work.

Idk, i like hitting rear delts o

I like hitting rear delts on it, sit super low and grab the high handles, on the outside, 3-4 seconds down eccentric and 2 up. After a row exercise
