What motivates your life

What's that one thing that has always motivated you to get out of bed every morning, and commit to your job, day in, day out until retirement? Do you have that one person who has motivated you, or something that gives you drive, a real kick up the ass buzz to kill it!? Same goes with gym too I guess.. What has made you not "give up" or be "comfortable"?

Money. i sure as hell wouldn't get out of bed at 5 AM to spend 8-10 hours in a place i don't want to be for free. Money is god, so it's something that has to be done.

When it comes to lifting, i do it because i enjoy it. My hard work is rewarded with a sense of satisfaction and it makes me feel good.

What's with the generic pic of the old guy? It look's like he's talking to his son and about to ask "who are you again?"

That troll @MANinTHEWALL used to post pics like this with every thread he made. You trying to tell us something, guy?

Power and money. But mostly power. Not so much over other people but after going through divorce and being broke and powerless for a long time I just got sick of it all.

I heard on a podcast years ago the question, what would your life be like if you gave 100% effort to reach your potential now until death? So part of my quest is to see just where I end up. So far after about 6 years I’m impressed and I can’t wait to see where I am in another 6.

I used to sleep in until noon on the weekends. Now I get up at 5 even if I just end up making breakfast before washing my car. Most nights I go to bed and can’t wait to get up and get after it.

The future belongs to those that show up.

who are you again?" Bro. Lmao fuck

Past 5 years it been the gym.
I was recently pretty depressed. Some chick done tore me up and ripped me apart so good that now it’s my mission not give up on myself.

don’t make no fuckin sense to me

I'm pretty young, so Im really career/goal oriented right now. Kinda feels like I have set my sights on my end goal and I just keep finishing intermediate goals until I get there. Doing my bcrpa cert, training, growing, trying to get up towards my weight caps for comps, learning more about effective training and personal training.

More than anything the desire to learn more I guess. Life gets boring if I get complacent and don't have much going on

Probably all the same, what motivates me is that I am becoming the best version of myself yesterday. And in moments when you get tired and don't want anything, I always ask the question, what will change if I quit? It will be better for me - no (. Therefore, I often motivate myself, it is better to try to take a step forward than not even try. Better to try and let it fail than not even try.)) Fear is the main enemy.

sometimes I make a change in the type of activity and go to nature, where there are no telephones and no city bustle and rhythm. It helps me a lot to overload and gain strength for new achievements.

I agree that in addition to global goals. We need to set intermediate and operational goals. After all, their achievement is success, and success always motivates to go further. And the movement is true, life, development is new knowledge and new emotions. And learning something new, you meet new people who allow you to develop further.

it is powerlifting for me. however due to covid restrictions im pritty depressed since i cant go to the gym
Yes, many people are forced to stop actively preparing or training half-strength because of covid. And someone equipped a gym at home. Lucky ones)
