i hung out with kim thaiyl and chris cornell from soundgarden in the early 90's. very nice guys. chris was kinda introverted and quiet, that was rather disappointing, but kim was chatty, really well-read and smart. we had a couple of beers and kim and i smoked a joint together and exchanged classical guitar licks. the guy was a good classical guitar player. go figure, eh?
i also hung with jimi hazel from 247spyz. killer guitar player and quite a nice dude as well.
i'd love to hang out with danny gatton. he was the best there ever was, imho.

No,,,Theres only one Jimi,,,but as far as playing like him,,,Stevie came the closest,,,His covers of Jimi's songs are awesome(VooDooChile: A Slight Return,,,3rd Stone From the Sun),,,I highly recommend getting Live from El Mocambo,,,Its SRV at his best,,,For a good Jimi film- Jimi Hendrix(a biography),,,I thought of 2 more I would want to hang with John Lennon and George Harrison,,,I want "Let It Be" on DVD,,,Its not available yet,,,but I believe soon soon,,,VDC
Edit: I just read the post about Roy Buchanan,,,Awesome blues guitarist,,,but I like Stevie better,,,Taste is an individual thang,,,Albert King is another outstanding Blues Guitarist,,,Rory Gallagher is one high energy performer also,,,Johnny Winter,,,Jimmy Paige,,,Frampton,,,Duane Allman,,,Joe Satriani,,,Would be my second string hangers,,,VDC
