What to expect from this....

Me and my training partner are putting up a new program for him during his cycle. Hes 198 lb, 510 (if Ive done the math right) and about 12-15% bf.

His cycle is 8 weeks of 300mg deca, 10 weeks of 400 mg prop. Maybe some winstrol at the end. Hes not sure yet.

As for the training we think itll be an 4 days on 1 off split.
Day 1
Squats: something like the 5x5
Incline benches: as above
Benches: just 1 or 2 sets
Rows: something like the 5x5
Biceps: just a few sets i.e curls
Abs

Day 2
Deadlifts: something like the 5x5
Shoulder presses: as above
Chins: as above
Triceps: just a few sets i.e skullcrushers
calves

Day 3
Squats: 5-6 sets of 1-3 reps
Benches: as above
Incline benches: 1-2 sets of 4-6 reps
Rows: as day 1 decrease weight 10%
Biceps: few heavy sets
Abs

Day 4
Deadlifts: 5-6 sets of 1-3 reps
Shoulder presses: as above
Chins: own weight to failure
Triceps: few heavy sets
Calves

This lasts for 6 weeks. After that we dont know whats the wisest to proceed with. Continue to end of cycle?

Hes eating 300+ grams protein, 450+ grams carbs and ~100 grams fat. All about 3900 kcal.

Looks fine to me, although I am not sure what you mean by something like 5x5. Make sure he increases his caloric intake as he gains weight...a lot of folks forget to do this. He should get some pretty good results from that.

Right. You're either doing the 5X5 or you're not. There isn't a "like" the 5X5. The 5X5 is much, much more than simply doing 5 sets of 5 reps. For one, the 3X wk squats are the cornerstone of the program. If you ain't doing that, then you're not even "like" the 5X5.

Alright now I get you. Both of you.

I ment the weight and reps are as if youre doing the 5x5. I didnt mean it would be any kind of 5x5, just that it was quicker to wright "like ...." instead of all the reps an weights in every set.
I.e a set weight for all the sets or working up to 5rm on the fifth.

My bad though, couldve been a bit clearer about that. ;)

Anyhow. What do you think about the program? Should it be the same until the cycle ends or should we change it after 6 weeks? And if so, to what?
