What's been the most successful TRT for you?

Hi All,

I wondered if you could list the most successful TRT you have used. So the amount, ester and frequency of Test, how often you used HCG (if at all), if you used an AI or SERM and again how often and how much.

I think it would be useful to have a thread which contained success stories and what worked, as a good reference point for all of us looking into TRT.

Many thanks,

BR

most successful protocol I have found is the one I am on now:

250mg test cypionate or enanthate every 5 days
letrozole as needed, usually .1 mg the day of injection and .1 mg 2 or 3 days later

no hcg, causes way more problems than it solves

I'm doing 100mg 5/5/4 to suit lifestyle only and feeling fine been on about 12-15week erection strength and libido great focus in training great too oh it's test enanthate

Hi there, that's an interesting comment about the HCG, what problems have you had or heard about it please?

It depends on how you define 'successful'.

Best, in terms of feeling back to normal?

25 mg clomid every other day, then every two days. Worked fine for a year with no sides. Pop a pill and your T level recovers and you feel good. The only thing easier is not having low T in the first place. At the end of a year it stopped working and I had to move on but nothing I've done since has been as successful.

Best, in terms of feeling mostly normal and long-term stability?

IM T with low dose, eod injections. T-cyp or enanthate; I dont notice any difference. I started at 40 mg eod (tT was in the 900s) and recently finished a few months at 18 or 20 mg eod (tT in the 600s/700s) and it worked just as well. Now I'm trying 12 mg eod. I'll let you know how it goes. The icing on the cake here is that every now and then I substitute low-dose HCG (~ 200 to 500 IUs) for an IM T shot...or...I stop IM T completely for two weeks and go on HCG only at 500 IUs M/W/F. IME, a weekly IM T protocol with two consecutive days of HCG right before the T shot is asking for trouble. T and HCG have to be s-p-a-c-e-d by about 48 hours (even with modest doses) to keep your E2 from going into orbit.

I've also had good results with T-gel and intermittent HCG. I've used 5 and 10 mgs per day of a 50 mg/mL compounded T-gel. I will sometimes skip the gel or take half a dose on the day before injecting 200 to 500 IUs of HCG and then wait 48 hours before starting again with the gel. I havent used this one in a while and may go back to it soon, especially if I find that I can function well and feel good at a lower T level.

I believe we respond to exogenous T a little differently each time we use it and as we use it over a longer period of time. These make finding a 'successful' protocol a continuously moving target where you MUST monitor tT AND E2 as you go (at least once in a while) to allow you to make continual adjustments. I do not think one protocol will be good my whole life and I strongly suspect that changing things up every now and then would be a good idea for just about everyone who is on TRT.

Long story short: its a good idea to get familiar with every tool in the TRT toolbox.

T-cyp, 100 mg E5D. Everything balances just right there. More is fun but feels like a cycle, with BP creeping up and etc. Once in a blue moon my nipples get itchy and I use an OTC AI (PES Erase) for a few days. I have never needed anything stronger. I have never used hCG. I've been on this dose for 2ish years and still feel excellent.

As an aside, I have had Addison's Disease for many years and can say that feeling excellent is not a trivial achievement. Many with Addison's never feel excellent, or even okay. In my case, T was the missing piece of the puzzle and many chronic problems resolved once I went on TRT.

I once tried AndroForte 5 (an Australian brand of transdermal cream) at 75 mg (1.5 ml of cream) a day for a few weeks, and that was also very effective -- but probably a little too high a dose for long-term use. I didn't get bloods, though, so I don't know for sure.

Very interesting stuff, thank you!

I would define "successful" TRT as have a great sense of well being and good energy. That's the thing that troubles me most about my low T. Low libido isn't that big of a deal for me and I can function very well from 75mg of Viagra.

Re Clomid How many endos are on board with Clomid therapy? I am REALLY tempted to self medicate and try a Clomid and Nolva only long term course as mentioned by Meso's doctor, Mike.

^ Self medicating is a bad idea I know, but I'm getting desperate on the low mood and low energy front (and I take and have tried numerous anti depressants to no avail)

I've not heard that about HCG, about spacing it with a break from T shots. That sounds very logical.

Brilliant news all round! I'm glad you've been feeling so good for so long :)

That's not TRT you fucking retard

I run 100mg of test c every 3.5 days. My TT is around 1500 but I feel great and all my other labs are in the normal range with no AI.
