Whats your concealed carry

Lol. "Self defense classes"

Fuckin yuppy phag.
What is your problem?

oh, is it that we had a disagreement in a totally different thread so now you are just going to make asshole replies to all my posts from now on all over the whole forum?

@Hughinn look I want to make it perfectly clear I have nothing against you at all. I'm sure if we met in person we'd probably get along fine and have plenty of common interests. I don't appreciate you randomly insulting me because of a debate in which we disagreed in another thread.

So please, just refrain from doing these things again. It really doesn't add anything positive to the community and all it does is spread negativity. Personally, I don't want that shit and I say you are better off without it, too.

As far as spending money on classes. Maybe I am a yuppie. I make top dollar at my work. I don't give a fuck what you label me. I just figured that when shit goes down, I want have drilled into my brain what to do. And I REALLY dont want to be the guy who's girl just stands there like a deer in headlights waiting to get taken out or kidnapped. My worst nightmare was some shit happening and losing her because she didn't know what to do. So we invested the time (and yes, some money over a couple years) to actually train. Then took that training home and practiced together so it wasn't just a one time thing. Now I am confident that she has my back and I have hers, and that she can hold her own if necessary.

Taking defensive shooting classes like advanced defensive pistol courses, going through the simulator (the same one they train FBI and cops with), advanced defensive rifle courses, etc., is highly valuable. I am glad I did it. It was stressful as fuck as the time especially for my girl, getting yelled at from one side and needing to hit targets downrange... but so worth it and it was fun. I've also trained with Michael Janich in Counter and Martial Blade Concepts, done his camp out in Colorado back in the day. Self defense has been a hobby of mine for a long time.

Oh and one note: I am not sure how effective a 45 acp will be for crowd control. Personally I'd say you'd be better off with high capacity pepper spray/gel, and/or a high capacity 9mm or a 5.7 if you're a fan.

Ever catch yourself say something really fuckin stupid and everyone around you suddenly gets quiet and you get all nervous and scared something bad is about to go down....you should be feeling that right about now.

It’s not his fault, he can’t help being an obnoxious, overly forthright, self opinionated twat.

To quote one of the characters in Game Of Thrones:

There’s no cure for being a cunt

Btw, this why he’s banned from all the UK forums & pretty much every Brit on Meso wishes he’d just fuck off elsewhere.

He's just holding a grudge I think and letting it get the best of him. Sometimes you just gotta be nice to people and it makes it better... the cuntiness magically evaporates!

Alright, Alright.

I apologize bud.

You seemed to get personal in the other thread, so I went overboard.

I get it. I'll relax on it. No worries.

But yeah man. I pack a 1911 kimber 45ACP because it's what I'm used to. I don't miss with this old clunky thing, and it's so comfortable that I can practically operate it in my sleep. So that's my carry pistol.

I know there's better options. But not for me.

You make some good points though. Better tools for the job and all. But me and this thing know eachother. I don't want anything else.

Hope that makes sense.

Hey man, why don't stay where you belong.

Out of the game, sitting on the sidelines talking shit.

We'll let you know how it all turns out

Apparently its called life, cause youre too dense to understand wtf I meant. Congrats??

Very lame response...but okay.
I'm sat here now feeling very scared and dense coz you said that's what I should do....so it must be true yeah

Thanks for your "live life" advice to a 53 year old man

Anyone have input on red dots for edc? I'm leaning to trijicon rmr but holsun has a shake awake feature that seem practical.

I occasionally carry my S&W shield 9mm, but 9 rounds just isn’t enough when there is more than 1 threat or you need to spray to give yourself a move to reposition and then get a lethal shot off. So recently it’s been a Canik TP9 sc with a 16 round capacity and a Um tactical holster, set up as owb carry, I don’t like iwb carry as it’s too difficult to draw when a split second counts. A lot of ppl don’t know abt Canik since they’re fairly new, but I’ve been nothing but pleased!

I could care less abt an optic for a carry gun, because there’s no time for that shit and I shoot with both eyes open anyways. I could see a crimson trace laser sight activated by the grip, or a Veridian, but don’t have one.

The Springfield hellcat is a damn good buy though, the gun has a good capacity and it’s slimmer and feels so good in the hand, hellcat pro may be a future purchase for me.

So out of curiosity - all of the guys that carry when you are out and about or have guns in the house, how many times have you ever needed to use it to defend yourself or have discharged it against a burglar breaking into your home?

Never. But I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I think like 1% of permit holders actually carry concealed wherever they go. I’m part of that 1%

I can respect you for that attitude.
Having a gun to protect yourself in your own home is one thing but needing to carry a gun everywhere you go is detrimental to society and normal human relationships.

I disagree, you can’t forecast when and where you may need to defend yourself or your family. A bad guy with a gun is what’s detrimental to society, not a responsible gun owner that knows the laws

Nobody needs a gun in day-to-day life just for self defence or to diffuse problems with other people in daily life.

Having the power to kill someone at leisure so easily is why society in USA is fucked up compared to other countries.

But its like you say - You have never once had to use it and most likely never will have to. Then because everyone is armed you have a huge amount of firearms in peoples houses, on the streets etc. It then becomes very easy for all the idiots to then get hold of one simply because the ratio of guns to people is so incredibly high. These weapons inevitably fall into the wrong hands along the way and get used in all kinds of incidences which would never normally have happened if they were extremely hard to get hold of like they are over here.

No, liberals that feel bad for the offenders is why society is fucked up
