Whats your resting heart rate?

Two fingers on your wrist, count how many beats in 60 seconds.

Or find a local grocery store that has a machine for checking your blood pressure. They measure pulse as well.

DUDE MY blood pressure WAS LIKE 174 OVER 100

how was it tested? those cuffs at walmart are for 14" pythons. If your arms are over 15 or 16" it will be thrown off. As for your pulse you can just go for 15 seconds and multiply by 4 if you have trouble counting and feeling for 60 seconds lol

MY ARMS ARE 17 1/2 AND THE DAMN DOCTOR TESTED IT

If your BP really is 174/100, then you do need to be on some meds.

Wait a few days and then have the nurse check it again. If its still really high, Im sure the doc would give you some meds.

how is your family history and your own personal history? Are you overweight? I would get it rechecked. Than I would do some major changes to my diet and exercise if you are lacking in this area. There have been posts about lowering BP. Let me know about your family HX, your bp history, and your personal condition(bodyfat etc) as well as your cardio and diet. A second reading is most important at this time. I will post some supplements etc after we hear back from you on getting it checked again. Some people need the meds. Most dont
