When can I start T3 again?

I don't like to run T3 when I'm not on gear and I have read that the longer you take T3 the less effective, but not totally sure about that. Still most T3 cycles are shorter than what I run. (I run about 6 weeks or so with 4 solid weeks of 100mcg ED)

So I am down to about 20 mcg ED starting week 7 of my T3 cycle. I suppose that over the next couple days I will take it down to 5 mcg...but what I want to know is....When can I start back up on my next T3 cycle?

1 grain of Armour Thyroid is comparable to about 100 mcg of T4, maybe a little less, or about 25 mcg of T3 or again maybe a little less.

Basically I would attribute your better results with Armour Thyroid to accurately-dosed, fully potent product compared to the T4 or T3 you used.

Unless the daily doses you are comparing for T4 and T3 are less than 100-200 mcg or 25-50 mcg, respectively.

For the OP: a TSH test can be as low as about $30-$40. It would be impossible to come to really informed decision as to how long to wait before starting another thyroid cycle without knowing if and when good function is restored.

But if, as many do, no testing is bothered with, for a short cycle such as yours, an "off" time equal to the "on" time has proven a conservative approach. It's certainly possible to push it harder than this but it would be problematic to figure or describe the sliding gray scale between continuous use (black) and an off period such as described above (white.)

So I actually was thinking I was on a LONG T3 cycle not a short one...and that is why I thought it would be best to taper down now. I am down to 15mcg ED, but I would rather go back up to 100mcg ED for a few weeks and then stay off for a few months (if it's safe and I can still get results from the T3). ...as opposed to waiting 6 weeks for normal thyroid function and then goin on T3 cycle again during the tail end of my PCT.

Is it safe to take it back up to 100mcg ED for another 4 weeks, then taper back down and stay off till my next Summer cycle?

A week or so ago my lab results =
Free T4: 1.0 ng/dL (range 0.8-1.8)
TSH: 0.06 uUl/ml (range 0.25-5.0)

So my Free T4 is normal but my TSH is crushed.

Will have another test in 6 weeks.

The last time I ran T3 it was for 4 straight months. Took about 4 weeks to recover.

There are a few good studies showing restoration of thyroid production in a few weeks even after years of T3 use.

Yeah i never did really believe all that talk about havin to be on T3 the rest of my life. I wonder, however, if my body will adjust to the T3 and if it will become less effective...so i figure at some point you gotta stop and come back down. I plan on a 2 to 4 week recovery period.
