Agree. I think most of our objection comes around the length of his proposed fast. Even more so than being on PEDs while on. (Which is pointless and potentially damaging) Intermittent fasting has as you said benefits for Type2 diabetics.Fasting has all sorts of benefits, but none of them have anything to do with bodybuilding.
If the OP is obese and diabetic, fasting can quite literally cure the diabetic portion, and the benefits for weight loss should be obvious - certainly a better plan than, well, the "I am obese and injecting tren" plan.
Personally, having been a bodybuilder, I would put together a diet and cardio and get to it, BUT, if I were diabetic I would absolutely consider a short fast. It is one of the proven ways to cure diabetes if you have not been insulin dependent for many years.
But you will lose muscle mass, and so you see the reaction of the posters here, on a steroid and bodybuilding site. I would consider that a small price to pay for becoming non-diabetic in short order.
I saw noticeable fat loss on my 6 day water fast...nothing crazy but like I could kinda see it lost on my lower back and feel it which was cool to see. So like the rapid progress I could see keeping me motivated. Half a lb to a lb a day is alot comared to what I usually see lost in a week of my diets, lb or lb and a half. Its for sure mental, I lack patience and am hoping water fasting can be a quick hack even at the expense of some muscle. Then the supposed health benefits of a long term water fast are appealing as wellAh, so it's a mental issue. In the end you'll either stick with something or you won't. What makes you think fasting would be any different?
Not blasting you OP. Just bringing some honest truth to your situation. My main issue is stubborn belly fat and I wanna lose as much fat as quickly as possible. I am 25 to 30% bf and never seen my abs..I have some muscle built but not a ton. I always bail out on diets and go back to bulk for a couple months then change my mind again and go back to cutting for like a month or 2 half assed unmotivated thus getting nowhere. So in my head I almost dont even care if I lose muscle or not, I mean I do but I am just so desperate tonlose this belly fat that it becomes only priority
Yes, that rapid loss is from loss of glycogen and the associated water stored with it. It's the same as how people see rapid immediate results on keto diets. That tails off really quickly. Always remember that weight lost does not mean fat lost.I saw noticeable fat loss on my 6 day water fast...nothing crazy but like I could kinda see it lost on my lower back and feel it which was cool to see. This is how you do it. Long, gentle, and slow works and it's actually not that difficult to stick to because you won't feel like complete ass.Not blasting you OP. Just bringing some honest truth to your situation.
There in lay the problem with the public in general.
“As fast as possible”… “I always bail out”.
The problem is “as fast as possible” will result in unnecessary rigor on your body… and you haven’t developed self control or dedication. This will not work and you will be bigger or heavier months or a year later.
There is no quick fix for this. Whether on Ozempic, or any other weight loss routine all realizable results that are not fleeting and unhealthy require a mental shift as well as physical. ALL… and I mean ALL recomp takes willpower and dedication.
Start there. Target 1 year for substantial results. It is very doable and SUSTAINABLE…
I can speak for the majority of people here, and say we would MUCH rather see you succeed and stay around as a healthy human being than give you a BS bobble headed “go for it” answer.
Listen to what the vets are saying.
Control calories. Eat 40% protein and 30-35% carbs. (Stay with low glycemic carbs. <70 on index) Go in 500-750 cal deficit. Exercise 3-4 times a week for a minimum of 1.5 hrs with 30-45 min medium intensity cardio at 130-150 Hr.
That will change your life
bro i think you have a hernia have you had that checked out?My main issue is stubborn belly fat and I wanna lose as much fat as quickly as possible. yeah man i think you should try to get everything taken care of when you get your insurance. losing weight will help with the apnea i bet. after you get your health into a better place. start a good cut. in the meantime get it planned out and everythingTy, ..also ya I will be getting health insurance in october, I also have severe sleep apnea and am trying to get used to cpap, ..another reason I need to lose weight. I need huria surgery and deviated septum which I hope will help with the sleep apnea although I was told it may only bring the apnea numbers per hour down slightly, nothing extreme...as the main issue lies in the throat/jaw
Yes, getting that extra weight off should be your top priority. My main issue is stubborn belly fat and I wanna lose as much fat as quickly as possible. I agree retarded, but as a bb what do you think about dorian fasting for 3 days before that show because he came in too heavy and still won. I know it was out of desperation but how much muscle do you think would be lost? What the fuck
Intermittent fasting? mabe on a cut if you've stagnated or maintenance phase or just let ur digestive system have a little break.Fasting is inferior in almost every metric than more structured, intelligent dieting.
There's literally zero reason to fast for any performance based reason. It is no more effective than regular coloric restriction (when intake is equated) and is very often far less effective, and comes with a slew of negative health ramifications.
If you want to lose weight, just follow a diet plan or regimen intelligently.
when he was an amature? Did they used to have weigh classes in the pro ranks? Well at least he wouldnt have a bubble gut and hes be peeled as fuck haha and whos richard simmons?Hes going full on richard simmons lmao mabe 10 days shorter. Or are you guys are too young for that?

Richard Simmons was hilarious… flaming as can be and his gym dress code always cracked me up. Honestly, one of the first fitness influencers before cell phoneswhen he was an amature? Lmao… I wouldn’t call him a BB… Maybe a fruitcake and a wack job but… he was good for a lot of very overweight people during that era of misinformation because he preached diet and self love. He was more aerobic exercise.ohh yeah i remember that dude. first real bodybuilder.
