I'm like 5/16th native American and the rest seems to have come to the US post civil war for Ireland and some Scottish on my dad's side.1/2 English, 1/4 Sicilian and 1/4 Irish. The Irish side is the only one we don't know the history of because my great grandfather was a traveling drunk. All the others are traced way back.

Funny how common that was. I wonder if it was because both felt ostracized by the "white man" , both groups were on the same poverty level, maybe they both had a better connection to the land/nature. Most likely scenario is that they both liked to drink and party.lolSame here. Cherokee and Irish.
