Where to work out in San Diego?

If anybody here works out in San Diego, I need some help. I've been working out for 2 years at 24hr fitness, as I joined them b/c my girlfriend worked out there, so I joined on top of her membership, and I've been paying 22 bucks a month since then. So, now, we split up, so I need to get my own membership, so I figure it will go like this. I go in there with a voided check, tell them to start taking the 22 bucks a month from my account now, as both of our dues had been coming out of her account. Yeah right. I need to start my own membership now, 79 enrollment fee, 79 processing fee, and 1st and last of 39 dollars a month. Are they fucking kidding? I allready paid the enrollment fee when I joined, which was 150 I think, and a processing fee, what the fuck, what's to process, I allready have a card, etc. And of course, the 22 bucks a month jumped to 39. I told them I would pay 30 a month, but am not going to pay any enrollment or processing fee. I'm fed up with 24hour anyways, so, anybody else have any idea where to work out in SD, in Pacific Beach preferably. I just want a straightforward pricing plan, and I do understand a clubs need to make money on the bullshit start up fees, but I am not paying anything that is outright price gouging. I have the money, but on principal, I won't do it. Any ideas, let me know.

Thanks.

Isn't there a bad ass Gold's Gym in Pacific Beach? I usually work out on base at Miramar but I'll be looking for a outside gym when November hits. Anywayz, I've heard that PB has a few kickass gyms, I'm sure 24 hour isn't the only one.
