Where's my Harley bros at?

Thinking about pick up this 17' street glide special. I've been looking at them for a while. On my recent vacation I rode my brothers street glide he recently got and loved it! I've always had crotch rockets but now my old ass wants to chill not speed. Anyway this bike is 30k out the door at the dealer. This guy is selling this one with 385 miles  for 24k so he's taken the hit already. I know it's a good deal I just don't know much about this particular model or Harley's in general. It has the new 107" motor in it also.
I ask because I've always heard they spend a lot of time in the shop. Honestly there's no other cruiser style bike I like except for maybe a custom chopper but they look uncomfortable for long rides. So I don't wanna spend the money if the bike is always down.

Just looking for experiences, opinions or personal experiences. Thanks

I've had several HDs. None of them have left me stranded or spent time in the shop. You can ride them all day and still have energy to go out that night. Plus, your woman will love riding on the back.

Cool bike. I have a bike in my list of things to get in the near future, 5 year plan lol.

Good luck w whatever you go with!!

That another thing. My wife would love to ride. She refused to ride on the sport bikes. Honestly i didn't want her to either because it make my experience miserable. Not just her but any passenger on my sport bike I hated.

What up high risk. It's a good bike do it. Harley made a lot of changes the past 5 years so there's a few issues but nothing that's covered by the dealer. You can beat these bikes non stop without a single problem just change the fluids once a year and that's it. Don't get a chopper. You'll b lucky if u can take an hour trip without ur back hurting plus reliability is low. Touring bike is the way to go Chopper is cool for local bar hopping

Thanks for the reply. I'm curious about this new 107" there putting in place of the 103". I hate buying anything the first year it's in service. Unless this has been around for a while already? I little be no idea.

The 107 is new, but it's been out for a bit now with no major issues.

Just remember that it's a Harley, not a sport bike.

You can pull lots of pussy with a Harley, as long as you don't mind it all being over 40.

Don't have one... Yet.

My dad lived his whole life wanting a Harley but never had the money for one. He died a couple years ago never having fulfilled the dream.

I'll be getting one soon and taking his ashes for a ride....

A couple of my friends have motor but all low miles so nothing yet. Only thing I've done to them is stage 1.im a mechanic so I fix my buddies bikes. I have a 13 road king w stage one and cams and honestly the new baggers are almost as fast . There's nothing better than seeing the country on a bike.

Took my till I was 40 to get my first new Harley. But I always had that free feeling not matter what I rode. And I rode some shitty bikes in my time. I'm sure u and ur dad will enjoy it !

My 2004 Sportster. Got it last April, put on 3000 miles this season. Upgrading it to a 1200 or 1300 next spring. Very fun bike
