For each body part, I have certain exercises, which I seem to connect well with. In regards to abs, which exercise do you feel like you connect well with?

Leg lifts fry my lower back so I absolutely adore incline sit ups. The adjustable ramp is always free too! I started adding weight, now i use a 45lb plate. I start with it behind my head laying down and pass it up towards my locked in feet. I have pretty defined abdominal muscles from it. Though i could cut 5lb or so.

This is a great exercise, I remember that sweet burning sensation in the abs.

I do these too, and then the ones where you put your arms in those sling things on the pull up rack, and lift legs that way.

Can't train abs. I get cramps after a couple reps into my first set. I've tried potassium stretching low intensity nothing works. I have the same issue with isolation work for hamstring. But sometimes I get away with planks for some reason.

Back arched on half medicine ball, bringing your left hand to your right foot in a crunch motion and vice cersa, resembling a starfish, so we call them stars

Were a gamechanger for me
Hey that might actually be beneficial in my situation. The muscle would be in a stretched position before working it. I'll try that.

Any video of this kind of exercise? I wanna try it but not sure what you mean. Thanks

Crunches. Anything else seems to work my hip flexes more than abs. I do like cable crunches too. I do them with a towel over a straight bar like arnold in pumping iron.

Have you tried 400-500mgs of magnesium a day?
Years ago l used to get cramps all the time when l worked out, been taking 500mgs of magnesium malate a day with food ever since, no more cramping,
Might be worth a try.

Abdominal exercises?
What are abdominals please? I've never heard of those muscles before or done any targetted training to make them look bigger :D

I'm not sure what the cause of abs is, I think this is just a factor, but the reason must be sought. For example, muscular neurology.

Cardio.

I could never understand why people use weights to increase the size of their abs.

You are 100% spot on with this reply coz cardio/losing weight/fatloss is the only thing anyone needs to do to reveal abs........but thickness in the ab muscles will still require weight and progressive overload to make them look bigger.

Example......you can do 1000 ab reps every day using bodyweight only and eat the perfect diet for fatloss but if you haven't used weight to stimulate growth in that area the ab muscles will look small and weak.

Using weight with abs really depends on who you're trying to impress when you drop all the bodyfat.
