Which membrane type?

So the more and I look into this I wanna pick one brand and one membrane type and stick with it. Which membrane type can handle everything from mct, bb, ba, eo? I've been looking into the autofil which is pes and I've see pdvf and nylon. Now I'm hoping pes is good for everything but could someone help me out here?

Anyone know what MCE membranes are good for? I got some by mistake, and don't know if I can use them for anything

So when using guaiacol and ethyl oleate pretty much the only filter that'll work is PVDF?

Right. Although, the plastic parts (i.e. the colored plastic) of the disposable filters will still melt. I haven't actually verified this with my own experiments, but if you do a little Google searching, you will find plenty of accounts from others that have.

Also, there is a small group of people that think Guiacol will cause lung scarring down the road, which scares the hell out of me. A lot of people have shitty allergic reactions to EO. It's impossible to know how much of this is true or false, so I just stick to BA/BB because it's been around for years. Nylon Nalgene and Millipore PVDF are both solid choices here.

Yeah I think I'll just stick with bb and ba for now on. This is my first run switching to bottle tops and I've grabbed a few autofil PES.
Any experience with these? Any good?

Technically going by the manual PES cannot handle BA. However, most people aren't using a huge amount in their brew, so they can get away with it. I personally stick with PVDF because it can handle everything (eo, guaiacol).
