When it comes keeping things Sterile. Which one do You guys prefer. It seems like there's less steps in Bottletop filtration then using Syringe filters therefore less chances of contamination.

What type/brand of bottle top filters do you guys recommend? I know some have issues with cracking...
I went back and did a search and it looks like the best route to go is the whatman zaps with hybex media bottles.Nalgene or millipore you have that's cracking? I personally use whatmans

@Docd187123 When you speak of media bottles cracking are you referring to plastic and glass? Seems it would be pretty hard to crack glass from the air pressure
From what I remember it's the milpore that cracks.
Ive used plastic a few times and only had one break and it fuxking shit me, i had alot of tren in there lucky for my i was onto it and grabbed another filter. Mine split in the seam down the bottom. I could see a line of bubbles coming up like a sinking ship lol fair to say i shit em...
And another tip for glass media bottles (this is pure common sense but i still did it). Once u have sterilised in oven let the bottle cool at its own pace, i was inpatient and dipped in cold water to cool lmao fuxking thing pretty much shattered in my hand.... Fuckkkk

@Kinikuman @kap73 @Docd187123 @rutman What kind of caps do you recommend to draw from the medium bottle? I found these . I think you have to buy septas separate if you're going to use the open View attachment 34820View attachment 34821

I wasn't being clear. I meant after filtering is done do you take a cap similar to one of those above and use it to cover the media bottle to keep contaminants out. Then just draw through that cap to fill your smaller vials? Or do you just leave the media bottle open and just draw out through the open mouth and then fill your smaller vials? It would seem that using the cap would be easier because it essentially turns the media bottle into a giant vial that you can draw from to fill smaller vials. Just my two cents @Kinikuman @Docd187123
