I plan to use some of mine for gear and the rest to pay off a medical bill.
I'm considering it reimbursement for having to buy home gym stuff. I stocked up on gear before the new year. Going into my bank account.

You can never go wrong with a new gun. I must say, I'm already in that boat with the little lady. I recently picked up my custom build, and paid the remainder of my balance. She was NOT impressed. She only seen the final balance due. She may have shot me with the new rifle had she actually known the FULL price. Lol.

Never disclose the full price. I have plenty already so I get her point of view, there is just quite a few more that I want. I'm not I'm a rush though. I have enough for each of us in the family a couple times over

I completely agree. Hell, it's even difficult for me to admit the price tag when others ask. I recently picked up reloading and was able to sell her on the idea by showing her how much money it would save. Cutting the price from 5 dollars a bullet to 2.50 was the one that really got her. I also have enough to arm the family with a shotgun, long rifle, pistol and ar each. So, I will probably slow down on the buying this year. I suppose one upside to these lock downs, is that its kept me away from gun shows. Lol.

I want to get into reloading as well. I'm in California so ammo is expensive these days, no more online ammo sales. What press did you get? I was looking at a Dillion progressive one. Need to do some more research before pulling the trigger.

I will only be reloading on a single stage for the time being. If I find a good deal on some 5.56 dies, brass, bullets, etc. then I may go to a progressive. Right now, I have the MEC marksman, and I love it. If I were to go progressive, Dillon would be one of my first choices. They are a damn good press. They can be a bit pricey, but when it comes to reloading, just as many ther things, you get what you pay for. If I had unlimited funds, I would have gone with a prazipress. Maybe in the future, but not at the moment.

The most difficult aspect of reloading at the moment is finding powders and primers. They arein such high demand, that stores sell out the first day they are restocked.
No stimulus check for me. With my daughter in college and having to make arrangements for off-campus/online classes, the money sucking has been entirely in the other direction.
Anyway, you are getting the checks because they want you to spend it on stuff to keep the money moving. They have no illusion it's going to provide any real financial relief to the recipients. If enough people just took out cash and stuffed it in their mattresses, they would send out even more the next time.

Yeah that was the same with me on one of my full sleeve tats. She seen the last 5hr session bill and thought I spent too much, good thing she didn't put 2 and 2 together and figure out times that by 5 lol
It would definitely be used for outfitting the home gym (power rack, bench and treadmill) but damn no one has things in stock anywhere.
