Ever wonder why. You are being the best possible you. Weather it’s the Law, family, friends or complete stranger. Just brings bad shit into your life.

How does everyone cope with bad situations happening to you that are out of your own control.

You will always be here long after these "bad things" come and go. Weather the storm brother. Keep your head up and to the shit you have no control over,,, just be like "fck it". Roll through and know that you did your best. Hope all is well main! Hit me on the low if I can help with anything.

It is what gives life meaning. There is no answer to "why" things happen... Unless you're religious, then there is an answer. Things good, bad and neutral just happen. It doesn't matter your age or how much you pray and go to church... Bad things and good things happen.

Would you still appreciate the presence of family and friends if no one ever died? Would you be able to distinguish between the good times when you've never experienced bad ones? What kind of life would it really be if everything that happened was good and no one ever experienced loss? From where you stand it probably sounds great, but that's only because you've experienced the opposite.

The only way to get through is to come to terms with this. You have to recognize that peaks and valleys happen through life, and the more you keep moving forward the better chance you'll have of moving back to a peak. If you struggle with this, it may be wise to talk to someone and learn some coping skills... We all tend to cope differently.

This is true. Just sometimes would be nice to get the easy path. I won’t ever give up, give in or stop progressing. Just get discouraged at times. Good thing today is leg day.

I was just talking about how fucked up life can be, all of the outside pressures and negatives.

High road when it comes to real life shit. All of the time. You'll come out the cleanest on the other end 10 out of 10 times if you take the high road.

Life can be a douche bag sometimes...

A lot of the bad stuff people think "just happen" are fairly predictable. You can rarely predict both what and when, but you CAN plan for and budget against many events.

Bad things happen to everyone. The hard part is focusing on the good things.

Idk why but this quote just hit me hard.
I have the exact shitty situation right now, from the a girl broke me thread.
I have no reason to not be happy, new job on monday, my biggest wage ever, new flat in august and basically all new better life, but something inside me chooses to overlook those things and focus on the negative things that hurt. Exactly this quote.
Thanks for that one, a small quote can have such a powerful impact..

You think about how you could be paralyzed, have cancer, your kids could be terminally Ill, you could be in prison for a crime you did or did not commit, think about how you could have been in some war torn country and your entire family just died in a bombing and you don't have time to care because you are starving to death...

And then you think about how none of these things, or at least not all of these things are happening. It could be so much worse it defies comprehension. Stop whining.

Guess it’s just easier to obsess over the negative instead of appreciating the positive.

The speaker is Rick Hanson, neuroscientist. Watch this. Talks about how to wire you brain to appreciate the good and not focus on the bad.

Explains how our brain (from flight or fight) is designed to focus on the bad from a more primitive time to ensure our survival.

You can actually create new neuro-pathways in your brain and force it to focus more on happy events than sad.
