Wife Crippled Me

You can enhance the taste of many products that need water like pasta tea coffee
I just think it tastes better w distilled water. I knew am old Navy guy i worked with years ago who put salt in his coffee grounds before he brewed it. It was damn fine coffee for cheap stuff. That dude had coffee brewing 24/7.

That reminded me On Navy submarines and many other boats that’s what they drink is distilled water

The reason why it tasted better is because the molecules in the coffee need to attach to something in order to be pulled from the coffee grounds. There's different recipes for brewing water for coffee. One would add different ratios of epsom salts and baking soda.

Well, whatever voodoo he used it was good. I haven’t met a Navy man yet that couldn’t brew coffee. I think its part of boot camp. :)

i use an aero press bc i only drink one cup occasionally and when i do, its some serious gourmet shit

A lot of water from Navy ships comes from the boilers , and then use the condensation to produce Distilled Water.

I find it sad that people who've been drinking coffee for decades, but haven't tasted natural blueberry flavors, or cherry flavors in their coffee.

Thanks for the advice. Though I already have their Ethiopia Sidamo, Chechele, and Guji. From my experience, that roaster is the best for the price. They're on par with stuff that's 4 times as expensive.

I agree. I have just discovered them. I was using counter culture coffee before and they had good stuff but it was pretty pricey. If you ever try them their Baroida from Papua New Guinea tastes like molasses. It is an amazing cup.

I'll have to remember that if I feel like changing it up. I would have to add the caveat that Onyx has the best Costa Rican I've tasted. I've tried a couple from happy mug, and they're not as good as Onyx's Coasta Rican Las Lajas natural. It tasted like chocolate covered cherries. Though the Ethiopians from happy mug are still better than the las lajas.
