My wife benefited from reading reading these forums so wanted me to post her thoughts.
She's 36 and has has worked out 4-6days a week for the last few years. She wanted to notch things up so did a 8 week cycle. The main goals we're adding some muscle. We both do a cycling class together twice a week and then she lifted on her own 2 days a week, with freinds 1-2, and again with me for some heavy lifts where I could spot her.
Dose: 10mg( 5mg am and 5mg pm)
timeline: noticed the var kick in around day 5-7
-2nd week.started to be able to push the weights up more and was recovering better
- weeks 3-6..seemed like the most strength gain.
-week 6-8..things seemed to level off but started leaning out more
Negatives: sleep cycles were inhibited a bit. Minor back acne and much higher sweat rate.
Biggest takeaway: she was able to have one more gear to push past some plateaus. Specifically..she was working with a couple lady friends and around week 5 she was able to bump most of her lifts up 5-10% from her fittest point prior to the cycle all in the same day.
What I noticed: she was able to lift a lot heavier. She would add a little more weight than I expected, and could complete some impressive sets. For example she would start to labor but could add another rep. She would be sweating intensely and seemed strained but could then push through.
She plans to do one more cycle after 8-10 weeks off
