Will you gain muscles from pump only?

Sorry if I ramble a bit, I promise I'm not simple or anything, but for a reasonably intelligent person I sure do have trouble putting my thoughts down on paper lol.
 
Suffice it to say bc of SKM physiologic adaptive changes
(AKA "muscle memory") BOTH "high rep/low mass" and "high mass/low reps" have their benefits and should be utilized to varying degrees.

Perhaps more importantly, avoiding the extremes of absolute "failure" would also be recommended excepting an INFREQUENT basis.

How can "benefit" readily be quantified?

I'll answer that with a question to ponder, is there a physiologic/anatomic difference bt post work out "soreness"
that lasts 24 hours vs a week?
