Worst PIP with swelling 7 days

Did the doctor at ER do a blood test for you when ruling out an infection? There are certain markers such as CRP and Procalcitonin which quite accurately tell you if you have a bacterial infection.

With no disregard to the severity of an infection.... 2ml of a 500mg/ml blend in a quad is highly likely to cause crippling pip, what he's experiencing is... As bad as it sounds... Not abnormal given what he's using

Yeah, of course. Just wondering if a blood test was done still, not doing it would be irresponsible and criminal.

These ER doctors are often incompetent medical students. I was sent home with very high fever, "you have some kind of a seasonal virus". Three days later I was diagnosed with a bacterial kidney infection which had turned into blood poisoning. Thankfully I was then put on antibiotics and survived. It was unrelated to steroids.

I hear ya, I'm definitely weighing the pros and cons of high dose gear as oppsed to more frequent injections after this incident.

And sorry about the lack of paragraphs, I'm not a big board poster and I basically just type away at my phone like I'm sending a long text, didn't mean to annoy anyone.

Day 8 I'm still in pretty bad shape, I do have a jacuuzi tub and I did use it last night, it was hell getting in and out but the hot water felt really good, I'll be doing that tonight too.

So just basically massaging the area and trying to bend the knee and stretch as much as I can, still it doesn't feel any different. When I'm off it a while it feels rested but then when I first get up and walk it feels like a balloon and lots of pressure until I hobble around a little and get used it it.

Basically woke up today, pulled my leg out of bed, took a really hot shower and worked that area a lot. Getting dressed is the hardest part, putting on socks, pants, shoes, that leg is just frozen, tight, and more sore than anything I have ever had before... and I've had many pip incidents where I limped a few days, this is just intense. Please let this end

edit* No blood test, just a thorough exam, took all my readings, bp, hr, temp., all normal. I don' feel bad other than the leg, no fever, good appetite. On another note I was using this gear for 4 weeks and hit that quad and the other one a few times with nothing but above average pip lasting 3-4 days.

Well that is just goofy as fuck then.

Seems likely you had an infection of at least some severity from this.

I was literlally praying the doc would give me some prednisone swelling and a course of antibiotics in case an infection is brewing, he just said it isn't an infection.

If it was a few days I could see, I have read hundred of posts on tons of forums and I see people freaking out after 3 days, I am worse today than I was 7 days ago, and the injection was 8 days ago. I'm going to go to another ER if it gets any worse of if there's no change in a couple of days. I am trying to convince myself that it could be just a freak thing where there was a reaction to something or I just hit something, maybe it can-take 2 weeks to not feel constant pain and walk, but this is insane.

Unfortunately it doesn' make a different what healthcare coverage you have, they tell you what you need, you can't just say give me antibiotics to be on the safe side. I'm contemplating running to a pet store and getting fish antibiotics, this is freaking me out so much, I've never been incapacitated like this ever and after 8 days with no improvement I just don't know where to turn.

All I can do is go to another ER again and drop another 100 bucks and see what they say, they might be like here takes these ibuprofen and rest, just like the last guy. Meanwhile I suffer all day all night with no end in sight

No fever, no redness, and not really hot, but swelling very obvious, entire thigh and knee are swollen.

I'm going to try and stay on this thread and end this with whatever outcome on hopes it might help anyone else going through this kind of thing, I would not wish this on my worst enemy.

I'm out of the gym, I'm out of work, I can barely sit or dress myself, and can't bend that knee. I'm going to give it another day or 2 then go back to the hospital, beg for a blood test to test for an infection.

I just can't see how an injection done 8 days ago can still be this crippling and not be improving. I did read some guys who said they were laid up similarily for 2+ weeks, so I'm hoping that I'm just shit out of luck and going through the same hell they went tbrough. It is defintiely hell.

I was icing it before I went to the ER, I might start it up again today because heat all week hasn't done much of anything.

I don' want to bad mouth the lab because like I said I used it for 4 weeks with no issue and I have honeslty continued with trap injections with an insulin syringe with no issue other than minor pip. This is just the weirdest freak thing, I have done quad injections for years and I have had some really bad pip that would have me limping a few days but nothing this bad for this length of time.

Last night I would get out of bed to piss and I mean even standing over the toilet and pissing I could feel the pressure and tightness in that leg, swelling and throbbing. This morning it is still bad, but I want to say it looks as if the swelling might be receding ever so slightly, maybe it's just wishful thinking. The pain all around the quad in the area where I injected 9 days ago is still quite sore and tender, and still can't bend the knee much.

Have a long weekend so I'm hoping it impivrs with rest, if it doesn't improve I might go back to the ER this weekend as this is just bizzare. Again no fever or anything just the pip from hell that refuses to subside

Admitted to hospital yesterday, had MRI, they are 99% sure it's an absces or hematoma, just a pocket of fluid with inflammation around it, I'm thinking absces. Nurse said I have slightly elevated white blood cells and have been running a low grade fever of 99 degrees, I might just have a good immune system hid a lot of symptoms. The pressure on the leg is just insane, can't walk or move the leg without pain, it's torture, can't bend the knee even a lottle. They have me taking 10mg of oxy for pain, the plan tomorrow is to have it drained and they will test it to see if it's infected. Really hoping for some relief soon, this has been a nightmare. And the hospital food is the worst part!

How's it going man?

I could of sworn it was from 2023 hahaha
It is now, thanks to you lol

The rest of the story is that he actually artificially inseminated himself
The quad became a womb, and 5 1/2 years ago he gave birth to a beautiful baby rabbit
Him and his rabbit, became workout partners
He had a special set of miniature barbells made for Mr. Swole Thumper. And a set of headphones to fit his floppy ears.

The morale of the story is that pip can lead to wonderful things
