Would gear impede my healing

Had to have my left tri reattached for the second time and my dr said gear would harm the healing.I would think it would help.It would help my attitude too.I'm kinda down about the whole thing.
Life is good though. Its merely an inconvenience I hope but it doesnt feel natural anymore.I guess my mind is having a tough time adjusting.Hey I'll be happy to do some push ups after 2 surgeries.
Thanks bros and I hope you are doing well

I'm sure your doc said that, to keep you from doing to much too soon. He's probally right. I'd wait at least 4-6 weeks to place any kind of load on it.
IMHO gear will help you recover and strengthen the Triceps but, The danger is reinjuring it. Slow and easy wins the race. Eventually even the tendon will get bigger and stronger, but muscle always recovers first!
Good luck, keep us posted.

How did you re-injure the tissue ? Is this something you are prone too, or did you come back from the initial too early ? I know it is hard to stay out of the gym and heal, part of what people feel like seperates "Us" from "Them" is the desire to work your ass off in the gym. The "Us's" dont ever want to become the "Them's " , and i totally understand that bro , But better to sit home on your nuts while your healing, then to re-break and be out even longer.

I dont understand the gear harming your healing thing though..I have always atleast "thought" that i healed faster while on the gear. Good luck to you, and grab a book to read in the interim, I suggest "holy blood, holy grail " ,,cuz its fucking huge and that oughta give you time to heal upwhile reading that 675 page MOFO.

Well I'm not exactly sitting at home I am coaching offensive line for a youth 11-13 that my son plays on.I've adopted the habit of putting my arm behind my back so I dont use it.Its hard not to get physical but really I dont have the free time to train right now.I just yell a lot.haha
Yeah I think gear would help the healing process but I am laying off for now.It is sore as hell though. The gear would make feel no pain though and I would push too hard.Thats the yin and yang of it.
I reinjured it at a wrestling camp I was assisting at over the summer.A kid tripped me and I put out my hand and it just tore it back off. They used a HEAVY suture this time so it should be stronger but it doesnt look the same anymore. So I guess it hurts and it looks different.I'll live though I love football and my son so I am doing what I want.Could be much worse
I appreciate the support bros.

GH and Cortico-steroids like Kenalog work good for healing soft tissue injuries. i would also think that small amounts of gear like Test/Deca and plenty of rest for that injury would help the healing since they do promote tissue growth.

Like Bigkarch said let the human body do its work naturally. This happened to a close friend of mine a couple of years ago and he took the docs advice and now hes back to being a national competitor. Give it time and youll get back to where you want to be. Stay headstrong! Good luck bro

My left shoulder hurt's somthimes. So no flat beaching for a while taking more day's off too.Trying to advoid opp.

I'm 6 weeks out from surgery now so I am doing some light flyes.I honestly dont have the time to really do what I would consider training.Just a few curls and some medicine ball sit ups a lil shadow boxing and wrestling. That kind of thing.I feel so small though.I guess it just hurts my self image or something along those lines.Just dont feel like myself without training.I can run though a couple of times a week.I'm doing my best to work around it.
My arms sore and I am not too into painkillers.I guess its just tempting to jump back on with it there in front of me.
I appreciate you bros support
