Would one "ok" S-Testo reading indicate No hypogonadism?

Hi im Ola im 32,From Scandinavistan. Sorry if this question has been answered, i did try to search, but my mental energy and excecutive ability is really low... Used to hang on definitivemind before, as i get this is the go to place now...

I was on the Acne medicine Accutane/isotretinoin some 13 years ago, and it went all downhill from there!.

MAIn QUESTIONS!
What could cause that spike in Testosterone? I ate pizza the day before...(and what could i blame that spike on when calling Urologist tomorrow???)
IS a Single reading of 13 a valid result to rule out Hypogonadism? ive been around 11-12 or so for the last 8years...

Im seeing an Urolologist, Trying to get TRT, (have 90% of the symptoms of hypogonadism, tried most psychmeds over some 11years, been more or less bedridden for 10years).

Today i got a call from my Urologist my S-testosterone from last bloodwork was 13nmol/L refrange (8.6-29 nmol/L)
So he went well, 13 is within the refference range. And reffused to let me try Testosterone, Because one bloodwork was 13,

The test i did at the Urologist 2 weeks before i had 9 in S-testo. (had my GPs testresults with me and a list of symptoms,: "Clearly Testosterone deficancy, drop your pants and get up, you need a prostate exame before i can prescribe Testo."

Last summer i had 6.1 in testo, its normal Thyroid lvls and such,

I have done alot of bloodwork over the years and an "neuropsychiatric evaluation", Testing everything from HIV1+", EBV and so on (They missed testosterone wich was 11 (within the reffrange, but in the gray area).....

Thanks for any input!
Sure change Dr might be given, but heck the GP when i tested 6.1 in testo just wrote me a letter, here is your testressult, the refferals to Endocrinologist has been deniead, i can't assist you further!...

Ohh ehh i saw an endo after that GP appointment last summer when i got 6.1 in S-Testosterone, It was mostly about my high blood sugar (diabetes warning)

P-glukos 6.7* ref 4.0-6.0 mmol/L
S-Testosterone 13 ref 8.6-29 nmol/L
S-FSH 3.2 ref 1.5-12 E/L
S-LH 8.8* ref 1.7-8.6 E/L

Secong day my morning S-Testosterone was 11
3rd day Testo was 10...

Turned out OK, well i didn't get prescribed Testo, but the Urologist (he didn't even offer to prescribe Viagra) is gonna send me "upstairs" to see Stefan Arver

It would not surprise me if Accutane is responsible for your problems, whether the doctors want to admit it or not. Normally Accutane causes long term low LH, but your LH is high, which is unusual. Your long term use of psych meds would have probably damaged your sexual function too. Hopefully Dr Arver is able to help you. Let us know how you went.

Thanks! There was a "No go" with Dr Arver, The Urologist totally fuuked me over, when i talked with the Urologist over the phone after my bloodwork, he said he was gonna write to my GP and tell her to reffer me to Dr Arver. The urulogist said this was above his lvl and such.

He didn't write to my GP, so i called Urologist up this monday, he said he had written her, but was gonna send another letter. This Thursday the GP called me up, said they have gotten a letter from the Urologist, where it basicly said that i had 13 in S-testo and i was well and healthy!

Now they have an written expert opinion, that i don't suffer from Testosterone deficiancy, GP said.
Luckily i recorded the phone conversation with the Urologist.
But i don't know how to play this... No Dr likes to be recorded, specially in secret. Guess if the GP sticks to that written opinion,i play up the phone conversation...

Yes everything went downhill after Accutane

The high LH was probable caused by comming of a psychmed. Newest labwork from the Urologist LH was at 3,9 refrange 1,7-8,6 E/L

Hi! Thanks!
I manage to get an appointment with another Dr at that clinic, its actually a whole centrum for andrology and sexualmedicine.
Im guessing this is where people that gotten side effects from accutane end up because finally after some 13years ive met a Dr that have seen this before.

Ive been put on a trial of Testogel 5g/50mg per day (hopefully this will not increase my red bloodcell count)
And my Adrenals are getting checked out. This is interesting for me since i started to get facial flushing and sweat attacks with accutane, specially after stoping.

Ok that's good. I doubt that 5g Testogel will be enough to increase your T levels much (if at all) though. Most guys who take 5g Testogel only feel good for the first couple of weeks before their own T production has suppressed much and then worse or just the same after 6 weeks or less. Normally it takes 10g Testogel to get your T levels into the low 20's. When will you get your next blood test done?
On a side note, did you get your estradiol level measured? I've been in touch with a lot of guys who have ended up with very low estradiol after taking Accutane, which could account for their poor sexual sensation.

^ thanks for the input i really appreciate it!

hmm i was thinking/wondering about this. The prescribing info on Testogel mentiones that 5g raises Testo with roughly 8.7nmol/L.
If that is enough to cause a shutdown, then me at 11 would reach "20" when tested after a week to see if the dose is "ok", then drop below 11.
Having a follow up/evaluation some 3months later about the effects...

I have no idea if it will be a bloodtest to see that im absorbing it and/or how much. It would be weird if that wasn't tested.
Doc called and started me on this a couple of days ago and also wanted me to take an "dexamethasone suppression test".
I assume Doc will call and tell me what that test showed and then either go further with an investigation for Cushings or such, i will ask to take a testosterone test.

Interesting with the estradiol, i did mention "genital numbness" but i don't think its normally tested over here unless one have gynecomastia. But after meeting me he took 6vials of blood.

Thanks again!

You should just ask your local GP to test both your testosterone (free and total) and estradiol 2 weeks after you've been on the gel, and again after you've been on it for 6 weeks. Waiting 3 months is much too long. You really need to get your estradiol level tested. They should not refuse your request if you specifically ask for it.
It wouldn't surprise me if your testosterone is about the same or even lower after 6 weeks.
How are you feeling at the moment?

^Hi! thanks for the reply!
I kinda jinxed myself with my last post, there would be no bloodtest after a week to see my lvls with the Gel. Estrogen or E2 wasn't checked, nor did he see any need to check them. Im gonna get a letter with a new appointment sometime after the summer...

I cant go to my GP/family Dr
because the clinic had removed her as my Dr. I was able to meet the Chief of that clinic after the letter from the Urologist.
And now im more or less banned from that clinic!.o_O
The Urologist fuuked me over and wrote that my previus healthproblems was "Psych: delusions".
After meeting the chief and for some 40minutes being accused of being everything from a junkie, lazy to a liar. I felt that i had to play that phone conversation with the Urologist, where he is telling be to go to my GP and ask to be referd to Dr. Arver.

Since we have this Electronic open chart/journal system i cant go to anyone else for this+ new Doc might feel offended!.
Ive been looking into private bloodtesting. One of them lists that they publish the blodwork results in that "electronic chart/journal" so i cant use that one. Have been emailing the other one asking how they do, or if one can see in my chart/journal that ive been doing private bloodtests...
All hail socialism!

Im currently on day 10, cant say i notice much,(i was hoping for some strong initial placebo effect) as i get it the Gel has a faster onset then injections, so im not sure how the "sticky thread Onset of TRT" apply here.

Note: Im not a "real junkie" or psychotic/delusional.
My mental problems are: fatigue, treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, insomnia/early aweakenings. And i have previusly been prescribed Benzodiazepines for anxiety/insomnia. (the benzo have "morphed" into that im a "junkie")

Gotta love Dr.s!

Jesus Christ! I thought Sweden had a better health care system than that!
Surely there must be at least one "Anti aging" doctor who understands a bit about hormones?
