Surely I do joke. You are tough love incarnate. Though I do wonder whether folks untrained in safely working in anoxic environments should be considering this upgrade to their bathtubs. I’ve seen plenty of drunk Florida rednecks mixing breathing gasses with large helium and nitrogen tanks, or argon cylinders for drysuit filling, but they had the luxury of being able to do that outside where their mistakes would quickly dissipate. Sometimes very quickly, even ballistically, if filling O2 tanks.

Which reminds me, I meant to ask — do you have formal training in scientific or industrial applications of chemistry? Occasionally your posts seem to extend beyond even a smarter cookie lay enthusiast’s knowledge.

You are absolutely right which is why I put a disclaimer in those threads about inert gas asyphixiation and that sources should only be trying this (N2/Ar) in a properly working fume hood. This stuff is no joke. Thanks for bringing it up.
