Tirz always seems to bite me in the ass. Originally when I did the standard bump from 2.5-5mg I had 24/7 diarrhea for a week. It was hell. Hardly slept.

Dropped down the dose and was ok.

Ended up switching to reta and never really noticed much. Currently in a cut and switched from Reta back to Tirz because I wasn't noticing any help with appetite from Reta.

Jumped right in at 5mg and I've been in the bathroom all day and night since Tuesday morning. I have stuff to do today and I'm literally worried about leaving the house.

I've been doing the Imodium thing as recommended by @Ghoul the last time this happened. Took it for times yesterday, once today already.

Anyone else have any thoughts on how to calm this down. I'm supposed to train legs today

Why such a big jump in dosage? I’d personally try 3mg weekly and I like it split into two doses. I’ve also found that big jumps wreck me.

When it comes to GLPs there’s no standard dose. It’s very person dependent.

Yeah I was stupid thinking that since I was on 6mg of Reta starting at the bottom dose again of Tirz would be a waste of time. Foolish mistake.

Would go down to 2.5 mg and evt. increase after 2 weeks. Did you use pharmagrade Imodium, at 2 mg ?
If your diarrhea is complete watery you need to boost 8mg at onces

I stayed on 2.5 for two months total and stopped tirz. @2.5 it killed my appetite completely!!

Does that about cover it? I hate to be that guy, but this is about as self-inflicted and as avoidable as something could be. Lower the dose and titrate up slowly (every 4 weeks or more). I started on 1.5mg and never got above 5mg in 4 months. No sides outside of some very minor GI discomfort and low level headaches for the first couple weeks.

If imodium doesn't work that only leaves prescription drugs like Lomotil

Response varies, but there is a (very successful) slow titration protocol developed in clinical trials and used by the 127 million people prescribed Zepbound and Mounjaro, where the pens are fixed dosages from 2.5 to 5. 7.5, 10, 12.5. 15.

It’s amazing how people don’t even familiarize themselves with how these drugs are used by actual professionals, and defer to Reddit.

It takes 3-4 weeks for the dosage to build up. You can't increase weekly.

I’m familiar with those trials and I haven’t deferred to Reddit. Reddit is a cesspool.

When creating a “standard dose” for millions of people I’d imagine they want to figure out what will likely be the most effective titration schedule for the most people. That dose doesn’t and hasn’t worked for many people, including myself and my wife. It’s far too aggressive.

My personal opinion, for what it’s worth, is to start low, go slow, and hold when you find a dose that works for you.

Jumping from 2.5mg to 5mg and then to 7.5 after only 9 weeks can be a lot for many people.
