Same batch, yet it got lighter and lighter (left to right) as I flitered them into each vial.

Does this mean anything or does it not matter?

The only thing I can think of is that I didn't swirl the beaker enough while I heated up everything in the pan. But it was all the same color when it was finished; it only did this while I pulled it out of the beaker, 10ml at a time.

So this doesn't make any sense to me.

Fuck it. I'm too OCD to take the risk that something is off, so I ripped off all the tops, threw everything back in the beaker, refiltered it all; seems to have fixed the problem, but unfortunately I lost 4ml of gear in the process.

This never happened to me but i invested an Arm and an eye on a temperature controlled heated magnetic stirrer.

I think that some of the gear was not in suspension when you did first filtering, but .... Hey you fixed it! More power to you!

Did you leave it or put back on heat as filtering?

I can't believe I never got one sooner, was a gamechanger for me.

You must've had the beaker on an angle where the colour looked consistent, no biggie, it would have been funny when it crashed from left to right after a day or so.

Did you lose 3-4ml on the second pass using a new Whatman every 10ml?
Do you manually filter? With a chalking/silicon gun?
