Magazines you like ?

AS far as I'm concerned, the only thing that has changed in the magazines is a look most guys would want, to a GH/insulin physique that you cant tell one guy apart from another. Have you seen some of their faces for Christ Sakes!! Some of these guys are in their 20's and have faces like a wrinkled 80 yr old man. It's no longer health and fitness, its drug ridden bodies (abuse to say the least) Back in the day you knew the guys probably used something, but you also knew that guy trained his ass off and SUFFERED to try to win that show. Thats what those guys did, they suffered through it. Guys like Shawn Ray, Kevin Levrone, Mike Matarazzo, those guys brought lines and conditioning you dont see anymore. The magazines are a complete waste of your time and money, you can learn so much more from a fitness forum where you can talk to real guys, not some bullshit ghost writer telling people what they think they need to hear.

I totally agree, but we are basically the same age, and you can't tell me that you didn't use to read the old mags...

I still think levrone should had got atleast 1 sandow. And yes the new magazines are a waste.Paul dillet and chris cormier really stood out for me back in the 90,s as well.I remember pauls onstage spasm but he was on point condition wise for a 6'1 bodybuilder, hated seeing him pull away from the game.

I used to like Chris Cormier too, until I read one of his articles in muscular development that he squared off with Mike Tyson when he was a bouncer, and Mike Tyson backed down....sorry dude, calling total bullshit. Mike Tyson, fresh out of jail, would have eaten your quad like Fred Flintsone at the drive-in.
I read this article while taking a shit BTW...

Iron mag is cool, but just for pictures and some interviews. For training and nutrition there are a lot of Internet sources, though each info should be double or triple checked

I firmly believe a time will come when shit just hits the fan and we have no power..no electricity...no computers,no internet. So I think it would be good to obtain some real books, not to many..training,nutrition.The internet can run some people into circles and waste so much time with too much info..multi tasking too much may lead to none of the task ever being completed. So to end my rambling maybe one should find the final books they need..stick to them,go back to them...and move on in life.

Iron man is cool until you thinking of the crazy xrep workouts steve Holman comes up with..just to scattered for me..but I do like the oldschool vibe ironman trys to stay true to.
