hey meso members! I apologize in advance for the long post, but for anyone that takes the time to read it and offer helpful feedback I greatly appreciate it, I'm here to learn as much as I can. I'm new, I had a small thread going in the new members sub-forum and was advised to post here for more feedback and advice. I'm 21 y/o (I know what you're all going to say but please hear me out before you skip right to the comment box), and I play college rugby.
I'm 6'2, 235 lbs, bf in the mid-high teens (i'm just guessing here, somewhat visible abs in decent lighting but 'm not ripped by any means). Some of my current gym maxes are: 195 strict press, 295 paused bench, 395 ATG olympic-style squat, and 500 deadlift.
my long term goal is to play rugby at the pro level, and I'm willing to do literally whatever it takes to make my dream come true.
I realize that, being only 21, ideally it would be best for me to wait a few years before beginning aas use like most do/should, but just being blunt here, most people aren't aiming to achieve the extreme levels of performance that I am.. And I clearly don't know everything, so maybe it is best for me to wait a little longer before starting. I don't know for sure if now is the right time for me, which is why I'm here asking for help/advice/feedback. I'll be turning 22 in 4 months by the way.
I definitely want to get a little stronger before I even order my first compounds, so it's not like I'm ready to do anything right this minute, but I do want to start planning for when that time comes, and I'd love to hear what you all have to say. I'm sure no one's going to sugar coat anything for me on here haha.
For any of you rugby brahs reading, I start at #5, but might have to play #3 this fall due to my starting tighthead prop being injured; and we don't exactly have an abundance of starting-caliber front row players available. I'm going into my senior season, but I'm going to be a 5th year senior next year too due to academics, so I still have 2 fall seasons left at school.
